My #2 pick would be one of the open air grills because they are close to the beach and I would have peace of mind that our reception location would not change if it rains. I just can't decide!! My dream is to have a reception on the beach, I don't know which to choose!

MObride09 - your wedding pics are beautiful, LOVE your dress!!

Melanie
aww i'm sure it will work out OK and you'll have a lovely beach reception. I would have gone for the Strawberry Dream package if we weren't having an AHR and a bigger group came.. Have you spoke to the WC about if it rains?

Thanks Melanie and Michelle!

I'm dying to see my professional pics, will have to post more when they come in!

Best of Luck to you as you beginning the planning process. Everything will work out and be beautiful no matter what location you choose! I worried about every detail, even after I arrived, I was stressed to the max. But the day of the wedding, I had this overwhelming peace and calmness that truly surprised me (not to mention everyone there who really knew how anxious I can be! :0 ) It went by so fast! When it came to the actual day, all I could focus on was how happy I was to be marrying this great man and all those little details I was so stressed about just didn't seem so important any more! I actually had to look at photos to recall some of the specifics, it was like I was blinded by happiness that day!!!

Can i ask you lovelys did you have to put a deposit down on your wedding package? I've had the date confirmed by Victoria but she said the package prices arnt out yet, hopefully next month. She also said i can pay when at the resort. Is this right? I'm worrying about this.....

I have emailed the WC about if it rains but have not heard back yet. From what I have read on this forum, it sounds like if it rains then the beach reception would be moved to a banquet room. But I will wait and see what my options are when I get a reply from the WC.

MObride - you perfectly described what the day is all about, I need to remember not to stress about the little things and think of the big picture and how happy we will be that day no matter what!

jjflipt - good luck and enjoy your big day!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Michelle,
That is correct. You do not have to put down a deposit. You can pay for the whole package when you meet with your wedding coordinator at the resort. There are certain things that have to be paid in cash, for example, the minister, but it also depends on what kind of ceremony you choose (legal vs. symbolic) as to what items need to be in cash. The only items they need to confirm the date is the travel manifest which it appears Victoria has if she has confirmed your day! Congratulations, March will be here before you know it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
