Barcelo seems to like to change their policies, but usually it is just a two night minimum stay. We had no problems the last time we were there.

Ashley,

Regarding the TTD, if you are worried about your dress, just get a long white sundress and wear that instead. It is the interaction between you and your new husband that is the main focus. Regarding feeling rushed, just make sure you have a photographer that will give you a good amount of time to do it, and schedule for the afternoon so you can sleep in and chat with any guests who are leaving that day. The BIGGEST thing about preserving your dress if you do decide to wear it for your TTD session is to soak it in the bathtub as soon as you get back to the resort. Soak, let the water go, fill it again, etc. The worst thing for the dress is the salt water, so just make sure to get that out before you get home. Barcelo has those handy cloths dryers on the decks and balconies, so you should be able to get it dried out on that no problem. A good drycleaner should be able to take care of any stains and honestly, when are you going to need it again? I know some girls are sentimental and want it for their daughters or whatever, but did you want to wear your mom's dress?? Mine is squished in our spare room closet!

Regarding photographers, lots of girls have posted on this (very long!) thread and don't forget to check out the vendor marketplace. People can post their packages on there, some with the amount of images you receive.

I'm going to have a breakfast in the morning of our wedding for my wedding party girls, Mom's and close friends that are going to Mexico. I was going to call it the Bridal Breakfast. Is that cute or dorky? Where should I have it? I never went to breakfast when I was there! I went straight to the beach at 8am and then ate at the beachside grills when they opened. I did that for an entire week. :) ahhh, the beach life. Anyway, most of my guests are at the Tropical or Colonial, so where should we do breakfast? Here is what my invitation says so far:

To: The Mother of the Bride

From: the Bride

What: Bridal Breakfast

When: Saturday, July 3 ~ 9:00am

Where: huh.gifhuh.gifhuh.gif?

Why: to start the wedding day off with some fun

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
