We choose the mint breeze package and that was one reason we had to have a banquet room reception. I actually ended up really liking it inside (also with all the rain)

The band played 4 hours and I you set the fee with them based on number of breaks, locations, etc

I was told by Victoria the french restaurant will only take up to 15 ppl in a group! Can i ask how many you had that night?

Thanx for all your help! The review is really great! We are stuck in picking our package. We were going with Blueberry dream and hoping to get us all booked in an al a carte for the evening (we have around 20/22 ppl coming)....

Or it will be the mint breeze with banquet room but without seeing the room i'm a little anxious to book it!

Hi Everyone..I"m strongly considering the coconut package, I have about 12 people coming including us..anyone have any experiences with that one?

For any of you brides getting married at the Beach or Caribe, (I know this is a Palace thread) I have some fantastic pictures of the banquet room all done up for my wedding. I'll try to share those soon if anyone is interested. My photographer took some really great shots before everyone entered.

I can't speak for the Palace but I thought the banquet room was great. The Beach lobby is all open air and the banquet room is just down the hall from the lobby bar which is all open air, so you never felt closed in. For us, it would have been way too cold to have had an outdoor reception, so for some of you on the fence I really would recommend it. My only complaint is I felt the lighting was too bright and we couldn't dim it for dancing. laura4ever seems to have found a way around that and I would strongly recommend finding a more ambient lighting source.

I would book a banquet room over the a la carte every time if possible. It will just be so much more private.

On the lighting they were able to turn it down in the specfic room we were in, but I am not sure how that works for every room. Something to ask the WC.

Oh thanx so much for the info! I'd love to see the banquet room pics when you get them! It sounds like you had a wonderful wedding, it makes me so excited!

You can just bring your ipod and they have a docking station that you can use. I just got back from our wedding at the palce this past week after two wonderful weeks. I willpost a review shortly as I am still trying to catch up on work. If anyone has any questions please let me know. My pictures won't be in for another 4 weeks....can't wait to see them!!!!!
