Just wanted to say that I just got back from this resort and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I agree that personally, I feel that it'd be okay to book a photographer at the Tropical/Colonial... the others start to get too far away, but in the end they are all pretty close or close enough (if you ask me... but again, that will probably change based on photographer).

Anyway, the wedding locations are beautiful!

The catholic ceremony area is GORGEOUS! I wish I would have known that I was going to explore it, but I stumbled upon it when I didn't have my camera. Very beautiful.

This resort is nothing short of amazing, I just returned from there and not only is the grounds beautiful, but the food was great as well. I stayed at the Palace, I didn't run into any vendors solicating me like you'll find at other destination wedding locations, that was actually a major plus for me, and it's only a short trolly ride to one of the other Barcelo resorts to do some decent amount of shopping or dining.

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. :-)

I just got back from my wedding at the Beach (I know not the Palace) but it's all the same staff that takes care of everything... let me just tell you that they work so hard for you when you are there that your wedding will be nothing short of perfect. Don't stress over lack of email communication like I did, because these guys are pros and everything gets sorted out in person. I had Gabriela and I can not do anything but praise her. I will post my review shortly, but if you have any specific questions PM me and I'll do everything I can to help you guys out.

February was a really busy month for them, there were nothing but weddings constantly. Gabriela told me March is a little slower so maybe you'll hear more from them then, but keep in mind these girls work 6 days a week for over 12 hours a day most days. They live on the property, so give them a break. I was fortunate to have met all of them and no matter who you have you'll be well taken care of.

That is what I think as well. All previous brides seemed so happy with the WC and the staffs...and all the ones waiting next to their PC/laptop were like talking to a wall. I guess I will try to be patient...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
