Hi Elisha

I am using Playa Weddings (Playa Weddings - Video and Photography in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya). I felt their packages were quite reasonable. They were only a couple hundred more than the resort photographer and I get the negatives of my pictures which was important for me. They have been quick in resonding and seem very nice. They offer videography as well.
Let me know if you decide to use them!

I have hired an outside photographer as well. Now am looking into booking a room for her. I am, along with all of my other guests, are all staying at the Palace. Do you think I need to book her a room at the palace as well or i can book her into the less expensive hotel, the beach/caribe? Anybody have any thoughts to this? Also, I havent heard from my Wedding coordinator for over a month now, anybody else hear from theirs yet?

I debated on where to book my photographer as well, but decided the Palace. We decided for a little more money for him not to have to travel back and forth on the train he would probably be around to take more pictures...maybe not, but went back and forth on this one, but just felt better about it.

Hi ya

I had an email this week from Victoria it came from email address Bodas@barcelomaya.com. I replied and she came back to me on the same address so maybe its her direct email??

Dont know if this helps any of you trying to contact the hotel. I emailed Gabriela on weddings1@barcelomaya.com back in January but had no reply from this email!

I worked with Victoria for our wedding just last week and she was awesome. I didn't receive emails back for about a week each time, the 6 weeks before the wedding...It was hard, but patience was key. Even when we arrived I felt like I didn't have certain questions answered, but in the end it was all okay! Let me know if you have any questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
