Oh man, I didn't even think of that! Well if anyone knows what's "kosher" I'd love to hear it because I'm doing some budgeting today!

I'm not sure what "etiquette" is...I think there is a thread around here somewhere about it. I'd say it all depends on what she does for you. If you just meet with her once & then don't see her again until the wedding day - and briefly at that - than I say no (or very little anyway!). I'd love to hear other people's takes on it.

Well girls, I started another thread on this but I had to share with you too. I'm starting to pack all of my wedding stuff, decorations, oot stuff etc. I'm screwed! I can not believe how much stuff I just pulled out of the closet and I'm waiting on my wedding party gifts to arrive still. I'm so screwed! Does one of you want to come to my wedding and bring all of my stuff? :)

Oh, and while I was packing things I snapped off a nail on my ring finger hand! smile105.gif

OH NO!! You have to be more careful!! I'm trying not to get any bruises or scratches on my body now before we go so I don't look like someone beat me in our wedding pics!! But the more I try not to get marks on me...the more I get!!! I bruise easily, plus we have a 9 mth old 80+ lb dog that just loves to play & crawl all over mommy!!! Not to mention while cooking xmas dinner last week I burned my arm on the oven...twice!!! wtf.gif

About your luggage...is there anyone you can start asking to bring stuff for you?? I am doing up little bags for all my guests that I am going to see before we leave (and at the airport!) to take as carry on for me. I told them it will just be a small bag they can put in their existing carry on. That way I will not have to take it all & be inondated (sp?) with overweight charges....can you believe our airline charges $20 for every kg over?? That is ridiculous!!!

Oh...I forgot to mention...

I feel like I've been making some progress! FI FINALLY gave me some input into the music for our ceremony! Although he completely kiboshed (sp?) all but one of my recessional songs he did over a fantastic suggestion! Baby I love your way - but the Bob Marely version...YouTube - baby i love your way - bob marley. I LOVE IT!! And he said he actually liked our signing of the register song...We are man & wife...michelle featherstone - well, he said it was nice enough! Now we just have to figure out my entrance song - I want Alison Kraus's when you say nothing at all, but he doesn't really like it. I want something that he likes too, but by the time we finally got to this topic I had lost him - his interest in talking about it had faded!! Men!! hahaha I guess I will tackle that another day!!

Oh...and I started my planning thread! I realized that I will never have time to sit down & complete this all at once on BDW so I started a word doc that I can copy & paste into a BDW thread!! I'm obviously leaving blanks for things that I don't have pics of yet like me at my final fitting and my hair trial, etc.

I think I'm going to start packing either today or tomorrow...I have to clean out my spare room first. It is a Christmas wrapping disaster!!! lol

Hey Girls,

I have been a mad woman lately - our Cuba strategy party is next saturday and I have a million things to get done - I too have begun my planning thread... wow... that will be a big one...

Having said that - i have also posted a ton of my templates and DIY projects in the DIY forum... Check em out...

After the 10th - I will begin packing - Luckily Air Canada Vacations allows 2 checked pieces per person at 40lbs per piece - my FSIL has 5 children - whom are all permitted to take the max allocation of luggage. Thus I SHOULD be ok for packing. But will need to borrow suitcases.

The month of January is crazy busy too! I ahve 3 dental appt's (whitening and veneers) - one dr. appt - two hair appointments - multiple visits to the tanning beds - pedicure before we leave - and mani's - i get one every two weeks, and coincidentally - today at work I broke my nail on my ring finger too... sad.gif

wow.. so much to do.... I am on a mission for photos for my hair trial on Monday... Phew.

I figured it out! I have the solution to all our problems!!!

If we stop coming to BDW. We would have time to do all the stuff we have to do. smile124.gif

Like that is ever going to happen. I am way too addicted. I have however started to procrastinate on all the wedding stuff I have to do. If my count down isn't enough motivation I need a swift kick in the butt.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
