As an insert for my invites I had ordered postcards from Vista Print that just say our names and wedding date on the front. So, for the photo share cards I printed the info on clear shipping labels and stuck them on the extra postcards we had. (I created a new hotmail account and then a kodak account with the new email address.)

So, this is what I printed on the cards...

We Want to See Your Photos!

I created an 'Our Wedding' album and just put one pic of FI and I in it until after the wedding

Glad it helped!!!!
Wow!! You have a bunch of stuff crossed off!! Way to go!!
And sooo glad FI has something to wear! That might look a little off!! lol

I'm still where I was a few days ago...little things (well...and FI still needs a pair of sandals, but he was looking at a pair of Berks yesterday). I'm more in Christmas mode this week - I need to get parcels & cards in the mail ASAP!!! (I'm so slack!) I put up our tree this weekend (my first time!!) woohoo!! I just hope Killick doesn't eat it when we have our backs turned - he's already eaten the two real pine trees (baby ones) that we have (umm...had) in the backyard!!

Hi ladies! I haven't been around lately, I can't believe how close we all are! I think I might go crazy, but I have mostly everything done, I hope lol! It all started a couple weeks ago when I found out I had to work 14 days straight, ugh! That turned into 12 days with 1 off and then 8 more straight (I have 2 more to go before MUCH NEEDED days off). It wouldn't have been soooo bad, but I have an ear infection that just won't go away!

So not suprising, I haven't got anything done lol!

Still to do:

-Find FI a band and order it

-Find him a shirt

-Find him sandals

(Can you tell he is being difficult? wink.gif LOL)

-Make my announcements on Thursday

-Do my final fitting

-Hair cut/color

-Find a white wool coat for legal day, I thought this would be sooooo easy in the winter, but can't find one anywhere eeek!

-Book a room for the night before we leave

-Decide if I want to wear jewellry or not

Thats all I can think of right now, but Im sure there is more!

Can I get your opinions please? This is my dress Jade Daniels Style 2082 Do you think I need jewellry or just let the dress speak for itself? I am going to have a white calla lily bouquet and FI is going to wear white/tan. I am dying my sandals green or purple though :) Also my nails are going to be acryllic with either purple or green tips depending on what I go for with me sandals.

Hope you are all just as excited as me and not stressing :)

Really fun dress! Don't stress too much about jewlery... if anything I'd suggest simple earrings and bracelet. But, if nothing strikes you, stick some diamond studs in and call it a day! The jewlery def won't be the focal point:-) I don't know if you have Ann Taylor/Loft but they both had cute holiday bracelet sets.. so does Macy's. I am planning on going to Macy's to find bracelet/earings as mother's gifts. Do the purple shoes! You might wear them again over the green?
I hope you are starting to feel better!

I still have to find/order FI band too, I am not doing a band so that helped! Also all of the paper items for the wedding, welcome book and my dress alterations. I also decided to do a boudoir shoot between now in the wedding... so nervous!

Nicole, My list looks a lot like yours! We can do it!

Kelly, thank you!

Amanda, I want to be celebrating Christmas right now too! But, I am in a hotel so that is next to impossible. I get home on Friday and am planning on putting up the tree at least!

I don't know if you girls are having the problem that I am but.... I feel like everyone wants to short Christmas this year. Spend less on gifts, do less get togethers, etc. I am feeling a little like it's my fault for having the wedding so close. Excuses are the economy, the fact that it is in the middle of the week, the fact that I work in NC during the week, etc... but it is kind of a bummer. My mom said, not being mean or anything, that I shouldn't worry about putting up my tree bc I'll just be taking it down again soon:-( But I am putting the tree up darn it! Even if it is only up for a couple of weeks. Sorry for the rant!

we're in the same boat! at first i was a little taken aback by it and felt shortchanged, but i guess i didn't really feel like putting up a tree and taking it down right before we leave (before New Year's Eve!). we have a light-up "snowman" this year versus a Christmas tree, and my parents did set up their fun Christmas village in the living room.

as far as gifts go, we are all cutting back bc of wedding costs. i DO feel guilty about this....i feel like all of the energy/funds are going to our wedding, and i don't like the feeling of taking away from others!! both FI's family and my family are basically doing "Christmas Lite" this year...i can see the good and bad of it, but i still feel guilty!!

Amarillis, that stinks! So what is the ETA? What are they saying about the dresses to you? This happened to my best friend too. We ended up getting our money back and ordering something different. Hopefully you won't have to do that, but they need to give you a delivery date, or tell them that they will loose your business.

Good news about the other stuff you have completed!

Nicole, we are all doing Christmas Lite too. They are saying it is economic but I still feel guilty, but I shouldn't! Fun that you have a snowman! You should take a picture by it so you can always remember this Christmas!

I just got off the phone with the seamstress, and I am going for my first fitting on Friday when I get home. Yay!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
