Yay!!! Congrats on the dress!! It is definitely easier with just one!! I just let my MOH pick hers out herself - I just told her orange or turquoise!!
She did a great job - even bought one of each color so I could chose (since we don't live in the same area!). She said that she can wear both again!!
I love my MOH!!

Is anyone waiting until they get to their destination to purchase items for the welcome bags? I already feel like I'm spending a fortune on shipping (we can fortunately ship stuff to our caterer). We are getting there are day before everyone else, but have a lot to do in that one day. The main thing I was thinking of purchasing there is beach towels - shipping 25 of them will be pricey!!

I think it is a good idea, but maybe it would be easier and less stressful if you are flexible with what you find... Maybe go with a list of options. Just wouldn't want you to be disappointed if you had your heart set on something. But you might end up with some unique treasures!

My dress is really simple, so I want to have a say in what the her dress looks like. I don't want her to be fancier than me :) That being said, my sis is my MOH and she will let me pick anything for her to wear. She's not the picky one. My main issue is my Mom, she wants me to buy my sis essentially the same dress I bought (heck no) and then alter it to look different .... I would rather just go shopping to find something we all like.

Sounds like a good plan!
Did you know we are coming to Victoria/Whistler for our honeymoon in February? We are totally excited but haven't started to plan the details yet!

I didn't know you were coming to this area for your honeymoon. It's beautiful here! Let me know if you need any details about the area for planning, especially Victoria. I know only a little about Whistler, but one of my friends used to work up there, so I can probably get you some information. February is high season up there, so I recommend booking that stuff in advance, if possible. Also, if you tell your hotels that you are on your honeymoon, they will often provide you with cool amenities (treats) for your room when you arrive.

We're staying in Mexico for our honeymoon. Our plan is for the wedding/honeymoon to be a 2 week vacation :)

Cheers,

Jennifer

I've been window shopping on www.peridress.com and I'm going to try on a few more dresses this Saturday with my cousin.

It's so weird that I'm not stressing over not having a dress (yet)! And, right now I'm more focused on finding the perfect (silk) bouquet.

LOL

Where are my priorities?

LOL! That is funny.... but they are YOUR priorities! As long as you get what you want. What style are you thinking? Traditional? Simple? destination?
What are you thinking for a bouquet?
Inquiring minds want to know! Hope you have fun with your cousin!
I am having my bachelorette (I know, really early) Saturday! Very excited~

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
