January 2009 Brides Post Here

Recommended Posts

Amanda.... I got your PM, that's ok! I just thought I'd ask but I will probably just order some online... or throw them in a basket for first come first serve:)

WELCOME BACK SARA! Please post the links to whatever you post in here... as you can imagine, we don't have time for ANYTHING right now! But I want to see you in your dress!

I need to tan. If that is the solution to stress. It is not just the wedding. My job has me all over the place.... then when I get back they have me in West Virginia for a couple of weeks, then California, then....... ugh.

You would actually probably get them faster online than from me anyway - mine would have to cross the border and god knows how long that could take! I'm not having them for all my guests either - I know the guys just won't want them!! Well...my gay uncle & his husband are coming so they might!!! HAHAHAHA

Wow ladies!!! Our tickers are really getting down there now!!! I am so excited/nervous/anxious/stressed/thrilled!!! And I can't wait to hear all about everyone else's wedding!! It's going to take all of February to get caught up on BDW!!!

OMG - absolutely driving me crazy! LOL Mostly because he isn't stressed at all about getting everything done - and he is absolutely a procrastinator!!! He just got his GM gifts to the engraver yesterday - they will be back in our hands the day before departure. LOL Nothing like the last minute! Also... his GM shirts... we have to exchange them for a dif colour this Friday (this involves a 2 hr road trip). Long story.... oh well!
I have got lingerie now (yay), but am still shopping for some sundresses. I have no idea where to go for them.... might need to buy them in Panama at this rate! I'm also getting the itiniary finalized, and am putting together a photo/scrapbook guest book - only 'cause i forgot about it 'til now, and am not paying $100 shipping included for the type of guest book i want. Good thing there's tanning - it's sooo good for the stress!! :)
This weekend is my stagette - I am sooo excited!!!!

Gotta go!!! I must get back to organizing! Only 6 more workdays 'til departure! :)

OH Man,

It's been a while since I checked into this thread... Hilarious dialogue on the topic of waxin!!!! LOL... I was seriously laughing my head off over here

COUNTDOWN IS ON GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have begun the daunting task of posting all of my stuff to the DIY forum.. and most recently had my hair trial ......

Ok... here it is - My hair trial!

Here is my theory on hair trial - for a DW - I (along with advice from some close girlfriends) decided that I needed a ''wedding day hair manager'' - this manager could not be a member of my family or wedding party. I asked my dear friend Kara to fill this role, and she graciously obliged.

Kara and I went for my hair trial and she took a total of 60 photos – all of which are being printed at the local photo shop. On the day of the wedding Kara will join me in the salon and observe and ‘manage†my hair – the idea is that it turns out the same as it was on the day of the trial!

Your hair looks great!! Love it!

Sue - glad I am not the only one with a procrastinor that flies by the seat of his pants...*lol*. We'll just get together and grumble...hey, if it makes us feel better then that's great!! I'm sure we will both have wonderful weddings even if the groom is naked..*lol*

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
