We are writing our own vows, but haven't started yet. Ladies, I'm starting to freak out. I feel like I have so much to do. Who wants to come over and help? lol Or atleast drink wine with me! elefant.gif So, we had some of FI's friends book last minute. Now I am short 3 raffia fans for the ceremony and a few things for our OOT bags, not to mention now I'm one bag short. I'm annoyed that now I need to go look for these things again and buy more stuff.

I still have to:
wrap the fans with ribbon
make my MOH and BM tank tops (iron ons)
make our 'things to know before you go' brochure
make placecards and print the recipe for our favors (were doing starfish cookie cutters)
find FI a shirt!
find GM a shirt (I found one I like but can't find it in his size any where)
buy GM gift
book our wedding party excursion (we're heading to the jungle!) lol
order FI's ring
and decide if we're using a dj or our ipod!smile105.gif

Its going to be a busy couple of weeks. I need a drink!
Oh, and my dress fitting is Thursday night so I'll finally get to see it for the first time. Yay!elefant.gif

Hey ladies! Haven't been on here in a while - work is so busy its cutting into by BDW time, can't say I'm impressed! Anyways, things are getting done slowly but surely.

All of our guests have paid in full so we are looking at 49 people with the possibility that 4 more may book. So needless to say I'm short on guest favours and raffia fans...oh well, c'est la vie!

My FI and I went to the Dominican Embassy yesterday to process our documents and hand over the cash. $360 US ($450 CAD with the exhange rate being what it is)! Now we just sit back and wait until I have to go pick them up next week. Then we meet with our TA who will help us sort out all the details of the wedding ceremony next Thursday.

FI and I also picked and ordered our wedding bands yesterday. I haven't been able to make a decision about a diamond band for the life of me, and FI knew exactly what he wanted so we went ahead and ordered his. Then they told me I only had a week or so to decide on mine in order to make sure it was in on time. Instead of feeling rushed to pick a diamond band, I ended up ordering the matching band to my FI but in a ladies width. It is a gorgeous hammered white gold ring with a sandblasted finish in the middle....Hard to describe, but goes perfectly with my solitaire. I wanted a plain band and a diamond band, so the diamond band will have to wait until I can decide. All I care about is that I have a band I love for the ceremony. Yeah - such arelief! I was starting to stress.

Now I'm working on the Dominican Survival Kits (in lieu of loot bags). I can't beleive next month I will be a Mrs!!

OMG this is so true!!! LOL

We're going this morning to get our documents translated...finally!!
That is pretty much the last big thing!
The rest is little planning things for me...photolist, make a couple CDs, welcome books.
I can't believe it's so close!! 6 weeks from tomorrow & I'll be a Mrs! HOLY CRAP!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
