I am having my bachelorette (I know, really early) Saturday! Very excited~
I wish I was having a bachelorette party; one of the perks I will miss since we're eloping - but, my friend that is hosting us may throw something (or so he's hinted).

I'm looking for a non-formal dress; something I could re-wear for the AHR and any other 'special occasion'.

I plan on trying on this dress from David's Bridal: David's Bridal - Bridal Gowns T9473 Satin Halter Trumpet Dress with Lace Embellished Empire Also, it helps that it's only $99!!

another one from David's. David's Bridal - Bridal Gowns Y8977 Satin sheath gown with beaded metallic embroidered halter.

from Peridress.com (also perimart), I am looking at:
Wedding Dress, Watters Style 9008B :: Watters :: Informal Wedding Dresses :: Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Gowns and Accessories from PeriDress
Bridesmaid Dress Style 210 :: Bill Levkoff :: Bridesmaid Dresses :: Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Gowns and Accessories from PeriDress

and this is the one that I am leaning more towards:

...

W00t! I just bought FH pants for the ceremony! And, they were only $6.99!! Love the clearance section and a $10 off coupon!

and here's the shirt he's going to wear (as soon as I order it):

and maybe in a lighter blue.

If the dress I choose has a sash or something on it, I am going to get a matching color to FH's shirt.

We found pants for my fiance today. We lucked out finding some very light weight dress pants that don't really look like dress pants in the clearance section of Tip Top Taylors. They weren't as good of a deal as you got, but they were only $29.99. The good thing about these ones is he'll be able to wear them after as they'll go nice with quite a few shirts, so he'll be able to wear them out to dinner, etc. :) Now, we just need to luck out finding a shirt.

We also started shopping for wedding bands today. We both found ones we like, but the one I found cost a little more than I was hoping to spend. Luckily we have a little bit of time to keep looking and make up our minds.

looks great Beachbride! I suggest you go to david's bridal and try on some different styles to see what looks best on you- it will help you even if you end up ordering online.

jcarson- that's exciting about the bands. One thing for us January brides to remember is that there will be good deals around Christmas time! don't wait if you are wanting something custom made, but I do know that they will hustle if they have too. My FI told them that he needed my e-ring in 24 hours or it was a no go.... it got done!

I didn't want to spend a lot on the cake either and was afraid it wouldn't all get eaten. So, we have decided to get a cake for two and then our WC let us replace the desserts included in our meal package with cupcakes. So, everyone can have a cupcake or take them to their room for later. I was afraid I was going to spend money on a cake and everyone would be full and it would go to waste. I liked the cupcakes because its something guests can grab for later if they want a snack. We are going to provide little boxes for them to put them in. And, we can still do a cake cutting and have our own cake.

Tomorrow FI and I are going to figure out his attire and choose the groomsman's pants. FI is going to wear dress pants in grey - with a suit jacket.

Shirts (guayaberas) have already been purchased for FI and the groomsman. The groomsman will be wearing matching pants to FI's but no jackets.

Moving forward ladies... moving forward!

oooo i love the idea of providing boxes!! i've been thinking about that instead...they are a little cheaper. would it be weird if we just exchanged cupcakes rather than a cake for 2?? haha

thanks for the ideas! ((where did you get the boxes?))

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
