El Dorado Royale

Hello all....

My name is Shea and I am from Minnesota. I have been struggling with finding a location, as most of you are, but I think I am going to go with

El Dorado Royale, Rivera Maya. Does anyone know anything about this resort? Or, do they have any pictures? Any information would be great. Or, if there are any other resorts that you would recommend over this one?

We are thinking about November 8-12 2007, having the wedding on Nov. 10th.

EDR is supposed to be beautiful! We are honeymooning there!

 

There are a few EDR brides on here, I'm sure they'll post later.

 

We would have had our wedding here, but its adults only

Like Jill said EDR is supposed to fantastic in terms of resorts and weddings! And we are also suposed to be honeymooning there as well. There are a few girls around here planning EDR weddings who will have plenty of good info for you. Also if you go to the search bar in the top right hand corner of this site and type in El Dorado Royale you will het plenty of helpfull threads.

Welcome, Shea! I am so excited to see another MN bride - I think you might be the first (or 2nd, if you count me). I was born and raised in MN, but have lived in Chicago for the past 1.5 years. My FI and I are moving to MN in a couple months though, so I will be a MN bride by the time of my wedding. Where are you from?

Wow... another EDR November bride! This place is packed full in Nov. from brides on this forum.

 

Welcome to the forum. Glad to se another Minnesotan here too. All my relatives live there and I'm going to be moving there in the next year. I hope anyway.

 

there are brides from this forum who are getting married there the next three weeks after your wedding so I'm sure you can talk with them and maybe even plan together.

Thanks guys... I was born and raised in Belle Plaine, MN, about 35 miles south of Minneapolis. I lived in Chaska the last couple years, but have moved back to BP because that is where my FI lives...

Where are you other mn's. from?

 

I just noticed on another forum that the beach is un-swimable at El Dorado Royale... this is the first time I have read this. Does anybody have any info. on this? I think that would put a damper on the trip- a lot of my guests have never seen/ been in the ocean before.

I have an Uncle that lives in Chaska. My relatives are spread out all over the cities. Apple Valley, Lakeville, St. Louis Park, South Minneapolis, Stillwater, you name it, I probably have a family member living there lol

 

Not sure what area I want to move to yet.

I was born in St Louis Park, and have lived in Maple Grove and/or Plymouth my entire life. FI and I are buying a house in Minneapolis, just to the southwest of Lk Harriet - we're so excited!
