Well we haven't gotten married yet, however I stayed at the Moon Palace last year and think the food at the Trattoria is fabulous (it's located by the golf course). I haven't eaten at Arrecifes yet, however I've heard that it is good and can provide an element of fun because they serve you food on sticks or something like that... The Trattoria is a white tablecloth elegant type of place. Hope this helps :)

Wow! I didn't even realize that!!! How crazy is that!! We'll probably see each other there :) My parents are members so we're going to be staying on the Sunrise side.

Plans are coming along great! Things are really starting to pick up for me. There is still SO MUCH to do! We finally picked out our bridesmaids dresses last weekend. I have a lot more people responding to our SaveTheDates since I sent out a postcard reminder about two weeks ago. When are you planning on sending your formal invites out? I'm confused as to when I should require final RSVPs because of the holidays, etc. I am thinking of sending them out end of December and requesting Feb 1 as the RSVP date, but I'm not sure if that's enough time to get my OOT bag stuff ordered and ready?

How are your plans cominghuh.gif

YAY! another English Bride!!! wahooo! Where in the UK are you? im in Essex (working in London)

I haven't ever been to the MP, but im booked to get married there in July 2010, i am soooooooo excited!!!

we're on a bit of a budget, so we're not doing the cocktail reception (unless we can get some rooms booked through the group booking thing) but we will be having a private event in the evening, for dinner.

so, what have you got sorted so far? have you looked into lots of venues? how long have you been engaged?

sorry for be so questionmaster, it's jsut your the first UK bride i've found getting married at the MP! :)

I am still in the air with my bridesmaid, but I only have 2. I have my dress, I actually just sent my invites this week for a RSVP of the 15th. I figured I give everyone enough time to plan their vacation.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
