FOR SALE!

I have an extra veil that's identical to the one i wore. I forgot to bring mine down to Mexico so a girlfriend purchased the same one for me and brought it down with her when she came on Thursday. It's never been worn and it's still hanging in my closet. I paid $75 for it but will sell it for $50 plus shipping.

PM me if you're interested.

For past brides: Did they give you a hard time about the 20% of guests staying off the property? I am beginning to get really nervous b/c I am already up to 11 people staying off the resort (including my dad!!!) and there are only about 23 on the resort!!! uh oh... I tried to get my TA to put a higher percentage in the contract but she said it doesn't matter b/c they usually don't give people a hard time. Is that true?

I was so angry at my fi for picking a place that no one can afford... why is MP so expensivehuh.gif he assures me it is worth it and that everything will be wonderful. I hope he is right!

TonyandTricia, we had mixed messages too but ultimately wrote our own vows from A to Z and the officiant had no problems reading it. We didn't get confirmation from our wedding coordinator until two weeks before we left to MX that it would be no problem to write our own vows. I don't know why there are mixed messages but we weren't going to be subjected to pre-scripted vows.

JSimMCP, the resort offers to put OOT bags in your guests' rooms for $3 per delivery. We didn't want to #1) pay $3 for each room delivery and #2) take down a separate suitcase for OOT bags so we distributed as many as we could the week before we left for MX and brought down about 5 for guests we wouldn't get a chance to see beforehand.

Hi

i negotiated it up to 30% and got her to put it on an email, so i can bring with me just incase.

i was thinking at the weekend, if you did exceed your allowence, couldn't some of your guests just turn up and buy their own entry tickets and not mention your wedding? and then come and join you? or would that not work?

im lucky as so far only 4 of my guests are external.

and yes, i think it will be worth the prices :)

Hi Slaps :)

I'm not sure about the strictness of off-site guests however I did want to put your mind at ease about the amount of money spent per day to stay at this resort per person. I have been to the Moon Palace before and absolutely love it and think it is worth every penny. I've seen the other resorts on the strip and after all is said and done with the variety of food and drinks (alcoholic and NON-alcoholic), included excursions, variety of restaurants and bars to hang out at and various entertainment on site (for adults and kids) it is completely worth it. You don't have to worry about who's going to pick up the tab or splitting the bill if your group all go out for drinks or dinner together, whether you brought enough money for food and drinks to last your entire vacation (they are not cheap when not all inclusive), if you're going to get bored after a few days at the same resort, etc. You can actually relax and truly enjoy your vacation and wedding and only have to worry about what you want to do that day from all the options you have and not about how much it's going to COST for what you want to do... The last thing you want to worry about when you're on vacation is if you have enough money or travelers cheques with you. To me it is totally worth paying for all those luxuries up front and not worrying about anything once I get there :) My sister in law got married there last year and some people she invited were complaining about the cost, but once they got there and saw what their money paid for they can't wait to go back and felt silly for complaining... Hope this helps :)

Ladies! I need some help/clarification about if we need an apostillate document attached or something to our birth certificates. I got mine and FI's and they are certified with the "official" stamp on them, to get married at MP do we need to do anything else to those documents? SOmeone please shed some light on this!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
