Are there any brides that have already gotten married there that can give me any helpful hints or let me know how their experience was. This thread seems to be all brides that plan on getting married there. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
check out my review, link below my pic, I had unlimited free events and they were great. Also, you get 7 nights free with 25+rooms or 75 room nights. Palace by far has the best wedding packages, I did A TON of research.

I am going to post this a couple places but did any of you prior brides have any problems with the items promised in your contract?

Our contract read if we had 20 rooms times 3 nights OR 60 room night, the hotel would provide a complimentary private function (our reception) plus 4 complimentary nights.

It also read if we had 25 rooms times 3 nights or 75 room nights and the hotel would provide unlimited private functions plus 7 complimentary nights.

We had 62 room nights and are having a problem getting the refund for the complimentary nights. Palace is telling us if they comp our rooms we no longer have the 60 nights.

Did anyone else have this problem?

I didn't start corresponding with mine till about 1 1/2 month before but everything worked out great. My WC was never good about replying to email but she would call me occasionally the last month and all was taken care of with the phone calls.
Thanks for the reply. I don't feel so bad now. Only problem is that I do need to let my travel agent know certain information so they do need to reply to me soon.

Initially, my travel agent was the only one that had contact with MP. If we or she had questions, she usually tracked down the information. They seemed to respond to her early on whereas they didn't respond to me.

Well, I didn't - because I didn't have that many nights - but that's crappy Tina!!! If it wasn't written into your contract like that - I would argue it! Can your TA helphuh.gif

Tina, I was VERY specific with Miami, and they told me several times our rooms counted towards the total number of rooms booked. I know you may trust your TA, but, you need to know that they do not get commission on your comped room nights, so, you may want to call Miami yourself since there is a financial incentive for your TA not to get those rooms comped for you.

They owe us around $1450. I am going to give my TA a couple more days though. We didn't realize that we hadn't got it refunded till about a week ago due to the fact my DH paid for all of it on one of his ccs and he was out of the country without internet access for several weeks after the wedding.

Hopefully, it will be resolved quickly without me having to have a fit with them. I haven't seen or heard of any problems like this before so hopefully, it is just a matter of dealing with the correct department.

Hello everyone! I know it's been awhile since I've come back to the forum. But honestly, it's been difficult adjusting to reality post-wedding/honeymoon. : / (I'm sure all you recent brides know what I mean)

Anyhoo, I'll be posting my review soon.

FYI, to those asking about honeymoons, my HUSBAND :) and I ended up extending our stay by 2 nights and staying at the Le Blanc (also owned by Palace resorts) and it was PERFECT!!! Absolutely the best honeymoon place I could think of. I'll post more about it in my review.

Also, to those planning right now, it's okaaaaaay- to be fair (and i think I can say this now since my DH is Mexican) I think everyone at the MP runs on Mexican time. :) So, if you don't hear from them until a month before your wedding- don't stress, it'll be okay. I ended up with a WC I've never spoken to until two weeks before, and everything worked out just as I planned.

About the packages Tina, that's an interesting theory... we didn't purchase a package, and got everything a la carte... but we did end up spending almost $4000, and Cristina met with us twice during the week before, and was with us every second of the actual day.

We are/were having the same problem and my TA has been a god send. She worked out a lot of the kinks and details that I couldn't get Claudia to answer for me. I would highly recommend getting a travel agent involved if you haven't yet-- they know what they are doing and how to work the system.

Does anyone know if they will allow for dried roses to be thrown? My fiance gave me 2 dozen fire and ice roses that I dried out and want to be thrown at us after the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
