I just sent an e-mail to the salon requesting Doris as my hair stylist! We will see what they come back with. :) Fingers crossed!

Thanks for all the recommendations ladies!

p.s. - I went to David's bridal today and picked up a white tank top with "bride" on it to wear at the airport. Maybe people will be nicer to us! lol! The logistics of how we are getting everything to Mexico is not going so well. I'm a BIG TIME over packer... 10 days + wedding + weight restrictions = wacko.gif

Eureaka, good luck with your request. Doris did such a great job with both hair and makeup. On the makup, I brought a lot that I had purchased from Sephora. She used about half of mine and half of hers. Like I said in an earlier post, when one of my girlfriends saw the finished makeup with hair (she had seen the hair when it was done but had to leave for the makeup part), she just started crying. That is how good Doris did with me.

On the packing... good luck! We spent a couple extra hours the day before weighing and re-weighing bags. We ended up having to take one extra in the end. Fortunately, DH didn't have a larger carry on. He just had his laptop bag. We fit the extra stuff in the extra one for him.

Also, I took assorted clothing. I only used shorts to go on the tours with. During the days I only wore swim suits and cover ups. The only dress shoes I took were my wedding shoes and the rest of the time I just wore flip flops. I even had my outfits for welcome happy hour/dinner, Friday night dinner at Arrecifes, and one other outfit for nighttime hemmed for wedge flip flops. I loved it.

hey guys! I will post my full review later this week, but I had such an amazing time! I will wait to get all my pics together to give one huge review. One thing I wouldn't change was staying at the Grand section, it was so nice to have a huge room and it was easy to meet guests since they have a makeshift lobby and my room was literally 500 feet from it.

here's some teaser pics till then!

The weird thing about the WC in Miami, is that she won't even respond to any of my emails....my mom is my Wedding planner, and she only replies to her. I guess that makes sense. I have also found that when my mom emails them a bunch of questions, they only respond to the first question......weird

Thanks Shinbinea!! When I first saw the orange shoes, I bought them on the spot!! Everyone loved them (I guess they were a little unexpected). Could you tell what was on the bottom? I found turquoise blue rhinestone stickes that say "I" for one foot and "Do" for the other! Everyone loved that too! I actually wore wedge bridal thongs for the rest of the day and night, even danced in them. I loved them, and they were so comfy!

smile72.gifI loved the orange shoes....my and my daughter (4-year old flower girl) will be getting custom lilac Converse Chuck Taylor's...my mom almost fainted when I told her!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
