I found most of the answers to my questions, but there is one I didnâ€t see.

Is the beach private? What I mean is for MP guests only?

TIA!
Hi Tia,

If the beach isn't private, I do not know where any other people would come from. All the times I have been to Moon Palace (many) I do not recall any resorts nearby or at least any that would share the beach. Moon is very huge just like Dez stated. So to answer your question....yes, Moon beach should be for Moon guests only. Also, if your wedding is on the beach, they would have it segregated from everyone anyway.

Is anyone getting married on the beach?? Do we just make this decision last minute when we get there??

Plus, I was thinking of asking all of my guests to wear a certain color. like "dress in colors of the ocean" or "dress in colors of the sunset" I've seen in a few of Elizabeth Medina's pictures and it looks cool. Anyone else thinking of doing this?? if so, what color??

random smiley but I thought he was funny.
"All the beaches in Mexico are considered as public, everybody can freely walk along the beach strips of the Mexican territory. However most of the hotels located on the beach would not allow you to use their facilities if you are not guest of them or unless you do some comsumption at their restaurants or bars." I am considering a beach wedding and have done research regarding this, MP is huge and you can do a beach wedding on the sand, or in the lake terrace overlooking the ocean (if you want to wear high heels), I have posted previously pictures of the beach weedings for MP (i think). They generally charge 300-700 for the set up (and i think 10 per person) and you get to choose which set up you want. You can do this when you get your WC or in the case of someone I know she changed her mind from gazebo to beach when she arrived to the resort and they accomodated her.

I don't know if for sure i will go for the beach wedding because I want to wear high heels lol

The good thing about MP is that is huge, so you will be able to have many options...and they have a vendor that has beach set-ups, so don't worry too much.

Edited -- removed suggestion to contact groups department.

Just a quick update -- I got a call from Carolina who is in charge of the weddings department (someone posted her contact info above) and she apologized for the inconvienence and the poor service I'd been receiving. -- they are making things right for me. Yay!!

If you are having the same problems -- she is super nice, I'd recomend calling her.

How long did it take you to hear? It says 24-48 hrs.
I had elizabeth and it took her about 2 1/2 weeks to confirm my date and time, she stated that the minister was taking awhile to respond (mind you my wedding is not even religious, but a minister still had to be confirmedhuh.gif what the hell lol)

But she did say that it was tentatively reserved until she heard back from the minister. Then it took like another 3-5 days to get a contract.

Let me know if you have any other questions or want a picture of something specific...with 2000 to choose from we pretty much have the whole resort covered! haha :)

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
