OK I just got this email from my FL lady:

Hi Karin;

The actual ceremony is about 30 minutes. If you wish to do a sand ceremony after you may but you will have to bring your own vow and do it with the groom. The officiator will not do the sand ceremony.

Kind Regards,

HI welcome4.gifJennifer!

As for the cermony - I was told that it would last 1/2 hour also. I was informed by Kalena in Cancun that they would incorporate anything that we want. I think the WC's in Cancun are a little more knowledgable than those in Miami. Kalena told me that they would do our sand ceremony and they would also read our script rather than their's for the entire ceremony if we want them to. It looks like I need to get busy with the vow thing now!

A couple of pages ago it was asked why we chose Moon Palace.......I have to tell you that when I first went about 5 or 6 years ago I was completely impressed from the moment they picked us up at the airport! Everything at the resort is wonderful! The staff is wonderful and will do anything to please you! We decided then and there this is where we wanted our 20th vow renewal and we hope that is where our children decide to get married as well! The resort has so many things to do that whether you are 4 or 70 - you will find something that interests you and makes you happy. That is essential to your guests and we considered that as well. Moon Palace is a great place to go! - that's my input :o)

Flower's should come in tomorrow! Gosh, I hope they turned out just as beautiful as the pictures! I finally had my gown altered, my boys tux's purchased and being altered, and my husband uniform with all his medals,etc! We are getting closer - HOORAY!

I also read something about the cake a few pages back - Kalena also told me if we bring a picture of what we want, they can and will make it! Just an FYI!

Has anyone received any pictures of the floral table top arrangements? I still have to get all those flowers taken care of.......uggggh!

Happy planning everyone!

Do they charge you extra for this custom made cakehuh.gif?? I got the deluxe package which includes a one layer cake...I want to bring a picture of multi layer cake so was wondering how much that would cost.

Nicole,
Here are some my WC sent me, I know they have way more than this. They are a bit pricey, the one with 3 vases in yellow is $180, the little one with just candles and orchids is $60, that's all i asked about.

Thanks pookie, I am glad to hear they have a variety of options. My FI definitely wants real flowers on the tables! I wonder what the second and last ones cost.

Unfortunately when you buy packages that include cake, flowers, etc. it states at the bottom of the package that you cannot change anything in the package. So....based on that if you want something different you will have to pay the entire cost for it. You will be able to have them make your cake, any way you want it, but you also have to be willing to pay for it. I think we were talking about this some time ago - that is why I ended up getting the free package and buying everything that I want - cake, flowers, decos, etc. It just made it easier, not better on price, but easier to get what I wanted without them telling me "this is what is included". I hope that made sense :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
