Tina,

I don't expect you to answer this but if you check, how long did customs take all together? I am worried about getting attitude from United, but seriously, they know the deal with wedding dresses.

OMG! Tina! HIIII!!! I'm so excited for you!!! I'm so excited you love the resort!! I'm just plain excited!!

I would be interested to hear how customs went for you too, if you have a chance, but no worries if you don't. I'm super nervous about customs! Did you make any fake receipts?

HAVE FUN!!!!! Maybe Honey and I'll see you when we get there!!

Eh, whatevs...haha. I'll just stick with what I have, because I don't really want to change it anyways!!! My paper signing song is about 5 minutes, so I'd be hard pressed to find a song longer than that that I like anyways!

We are doing:
Prelude: Butterfly Waltz - 3:43
Processional: Canon in D - 3:19
Bridal Entrance: Bridal March by Jonathan Cain - 1:48
Paper Signing: Over the Rainbow, Israel Style - 5:07
Recessional: At Last, Etta James - 3:02

In my head, they are long enough...I imagine they might play Butterfly Waltz a few times though.

those are nice, I have no idea what to expect from the mariachi, I guess I will pick from a list when I get there...from here on out I am adopting a new attitude...just relax because it's not like I can change anything major anyway, we're in the home stretch!! Work is going to be painful this week....

OMG Tina GREAT! SOOO glad you love it!!!

I've been to the MP before and I know it's great, but I'm glad someone else on here can now tell everyone how nice it is! SOOO excited for you! For ALL of you guys whose dates are coming up soon! :)

Tina (when you get back), was it better to call Kalena then and just talk over the phone? I've e-mailed her and not heard anything in a week now.

I just hate calling because I like to have everything in writing, for my records. (People can say whatever they want over the phone, and it can get misinterpreted as well) so I really prefer e-mail. But if she's not going to respond... that won't help either.

Also no word yet on my rooms vs. room nights battle. Haven't heard from the Membership Weddings designee yet, either. : /

Honey- I think that's the best possible attitude to take, with having a DW anywhere. I'm TRYING my hardest to be as carefree as possible. I just want to make sure that everyone (myself and FI included!) has a BLAST. Oh, and that I look positively stunning on my wedding day for FI is a priority as well. cheesy.gif cheesy.gif cheesy.gif Doing makeup and hair trials tomorrow! Fun fun fun!

The witnesses do need to be there 2 days before the wedding so they can be included on your marriage certificate. The resort will provide witnesses for you though if you don't have anyone that will be there 2 days before. We had four members of our family sign the certificate as "honorary" witnesses during the actual ceremony.

I have been meaning to ask this question all week and have been so swamped.

Has anyone heard of anyone getting sick from water or food at Moon Palace Just Curious!! The last time I heard of someone in a wedding party getting sick, it was after they ate/drank outside the resort.
Tina--was just at Moon Palace for a visit in May, off the resort at the ruins and the restaurant we ate lunch at, and at the resort, they only served bottled water. The only time we used water from the faucet was brushing our teeth!! beautiful place for those who haven't been--we have 6-7 weddings while we were there...one of them was supposed to be ours! we are victims of the swine flu..but met with the wedding staff, toured all the grounds and various gazebos...and used it as a vacation..our wedding is now rescheduled for Feb, 2010

Tina - SO happy to hear that you are there and enjoying yourself!!!!!!!! That is absolutely fabulous! Best wishes for a wonderful stay at MP! I can't wait to get there myself! :)

I hope US Air doesn't give me grief about the wedding dress. We have a direct flight so it's going to be all or nothing! My guests will be there 2 days prior, but I'm a little nervous about the 3:00 thing. We get there 3 days prior, but our flight get in around 10 something. They are 2 days prior, but their flights were the later group (arriving around noon). Here's hoping for a smooth flight schedule on those days!!

I really need to start thinking about music. I'm super stressed with the resort right now. I STILL haven't heard back from my on-site (e-mail June 22nd). I sent Maribel another e-mailing asking what I need to do to get this problem resolved. It's getting to the point where it's not just frustrating, but it's becoming a problem. Yikes! sad.gif Not sure how I feel about what is to come if this is how communication is going. I took Tina's advice though and hopefully I'll get a phone # for contact. I also like things in writing though.

pyxystyx and Eureaka, seriously call the person you were assigned to in Miami. When I didn't hear from mi WC for a few days (during the swine flu thing, I was afraid she got laid off) I called Miami and she contacted the Moon Palace and now it takes 48hrs or less for my WC to get back to me. If I was waiting a week, I would freak out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
