Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Fed Ex just showed up at the door with our photos. I will post them as soon as I get through them all (there are about 1,000 pictures on the CD). Does anyone know how to post the pictures within the thread versus having a link to the pictures? If so, can you send me instructions on how to do so?

Thanks,

Camie

Hello everyone!

I've been really busy with work so I have not been on here in a LONG time... but my wedding is soon approaching!

Rosy Lily Sanchez is my assigned coordinator. I have been calling and emailing - but I haven't seemed to have gotten what I want yet. I just want a list of who has booked and who hasnt so that I can call people and make sure they book before the deadline. But it may just be me and my need to be PATIENT. *sigh.

Any other brides out there getting married around July 10th?

Any other brides assigned to Ms. Sanchez?

Camie, Can't wait to see them. I have never posted to the thread itself but I link the photos (they appear in the thread without clicking) from photobucket.

First upload to photobucket. Once in photobucket, hover your curser over the photo you uploaded to photobucket, and a dropdown with several links appears. Copy the one called "Direct Link". Once copied, Click on the icon that is yellow and black that looks like a little mountain that is located in this forums edit box (If you are in the "Quick Reply" Box, click "Go Advanced" and you will see it). Insert the copied link from photobucket, click okay, and your done.

The following is an example of what it looks like:

Hi Ladies,

Below are some of professional pictures from MP by David Pena. 99% of the pictures on the CD are in color and I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager to convert them to black & white. I'll post a link to Kodak Gallery after I go through them all and pull out the good ones.

Below is a picture of my brother's wedding cake. We wanted our cake to be lopsided like this so we sent Lily this picture as well as another picture of another lopsided cake.

As you can see, our cake (which arrived about an hour late) looked improperly made more than anything. MP did make the mark with the custom design and colors which match our invitations. Overall, if I had to do it all over again, I'd get the single tier cake with the custom design and save myself $200.

Also note that Pete and I are cutting the cake with the serving piece versus the cake cutting knife (Pete's fault). Lily was too the rescue a couple seconds after this photo was taken. LOL.

Hello,

This is a great site and I only wish i found out about this board sooner. A lot of great info. We have stayed at the moon for the past 4 years and we could not think of a better place to have our wedding. Very......very hard to believe, in almost less than a month we will be doing so.

I am trying to read all of the posts on this topic....about 50 pages in....so I just wanted to say hi to everyone.....

I am getting married at the Moon Palace in Punta Cana on June 27, 2009. I haven't been overly pleased with the process and the resort is not going to be as finished as I would have liked, but I am staying optimistic. I still haven't been able to plan any of the details since they still don't have all of the packages and details finalized yet. I am getting frustrated and found out today that my day is available at Dreams in Punta Cana and my mom is asking me if I want to change everything. I can't decide. Has anyone else planned a wedding at Moon in PC yet?

Great pics Camie. I can't wait to see the rest. Did you give the photographer different poses that you wanted or did he basically tell you what to do? Did he take any during the cocktail party or while you were getting ready? What package did you get? Sorry for all the questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
