I'm having a mini meltdown....We didn't book our rooms directly with Moon Palace - we booked through our TA using the supplier for the all inclusive option . Do we still receive the promotional free upgrades huh.gif ie. Free cocktail party? Free private function - all dependant on the # of rooms booked (Pleeez tell me yes !!)

Our TA told us that we could still get the free cocktail hour if we booked through her. We found that some of the internet discount sites were less expensive than TA prices so they agreed to match the sites whenever they were cheaper, but then we had to forgo the cocktail hour. sad.gif So we won't be getting it.

Hi ladies! I got married on the beach on 11-12-09 and it was wonderful! I am *almost* finished with my review.... the day I got there was the day Maura posted the pictures on the beach. Hurricane Ida had passed us and there was a TON of seaweed on the beach.... luckily, they were pretty quick to clean it up. I'd say that by 11-10-09 when our guests arrived, 90% of the seaweed was gone. On the wedding day my beach looked like this:

Thanks for posting the pic... I am getting more excited the closer we get to the date and I will forward to reading your review! I like that you are from Minneapolis too! Congrats on your recent wedding.

BUT, the day has finally arrived. We leave tomorrow morning to the MP for our wedding on the 27th. i am SOOOOOOO excited!! I've reread reviews from past brides and I cannot wait. We're having our local ceremony today because we are doing the Symbolic one there.

I checked the weather and it says there's a chance of rain for most of the latter half of the week but I'm thinking Cancun weather is more tropical where storms pass versus the Midwest where when it says rain, you're not seeing any sun that day.

I will be sure to post a review when I get back because I know how important those were when I was planning. This forum has been a lifesaver. I don't think I would've gone through with a destination wedding site-unseen without it.

Wish us luck!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
CONGRATULATIONS MrsEddy!!! Good Luck! I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful!

Sooo I had my TA contact Palace Resorts and it appears as though the games begin !!

The response I got back from my TA was something about their (PR's)website not being updated since 2007 so she has to see what other promotions are being offered !!

I haven't seen this at all in any of the other posts I read. Has anyone else seen/read this huh.gif?

Yes - as in the free cocktail party, free private function ! I called Palace Resorts directly yesterday and they did confirm the promotion is infact still valid. So I'm anxiously awaiting a return call from my TA to find out what's REALLY going on censored.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
