Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

My understanding about outside photographers is that as long as they stay in the hotel for at least one night, you will have no issue. When I was doing my research, I spoke to a couple of photographers in Mexico and they refused to provide service when I mentioned that we were getting married at the Moon Palace. Apparently the resort is known for not letting photographers in at the last minute. My photographer is staying at the Moon Palace with us.

I was trying to upload my pictures but this forum won't let jpeg's be uploaded and when i converted it to a bmp the file size was too large. This forum is not very user friendly for uploading anything. There was one bride in the reviews section that had a ton of pics of the Caribbean restaurant though.

I know! So many options and we're deciding on menu options right now. I know previous brides have mixed and matched dinner options and appetizer selections. My WC is Valeria and she's good with responding--2 to 3 days. We are putting together our ideas now to give to her for our reception dinner. There are so many details to plan still that I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed. This forum has helped me so much. I know that my wedding day will be everything I want and more!! There are testimonials abound on here who can say that has been their experience.

Ok, I know that MP has a rule that they will allow only 20% of your guest list to be ppl not staying at the resort......I am doing my numbers and it looks like I will have a total of 29 guests (this is based on ppl who actually booked somewhere, not RSVP's) with 19 (including me and FI) who will be at MP and the other 10 at other resorts.....Has anyone ever been in a case that their offsite guests have been turned away by MP for the wedding?

Thanks for attaching those files - there are a few that have been updated since I last seen them!

The meals are very confusing - we are planning on having an outdoor reception, which I've known all along, we can only have a buffet for...which is fine with us...but then on this attachment it says for the buffet we need min. numbers of 40ppl!!! we only have 24!!! jeezzzz! what am I supposed to do with that then?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
