I'm so happy to hear that your wedding was a dream day!! It makes me feel better to hear things like that. Lately I've been feeling a little in the dumps about my wedding at MP - but I can't quite put my finger on why. I guess I just am starting to feel anxious about things going wrong.

You had your dinner on the beach? If you don't mind my asking, did they charge you extra for that??

Honey, I'm glad to hear that! I must be hormonal or something - I'm just so unhappy with EVERYTHING lately. I leave in 9 days. We now have a surprise birthday party to go to on Saturday which is stressing me out even more.

Good news though, apparently my WC got an exception to get me a square hollow table - works fine for me! Glad that drama is over!!!

That is good news!!! I am not sure why I am nervous, possibly b/c I have never been to Moon Palace let alone Cancun before, I just want everyone to have a good time. I am going to start packing too, I just have no idea how everything is making it down there. I am also planning on stowing my dress on board, if they give me an issue (the flight is busy) I am going to really be upset.

Yeah, I hear ya. I think that's why I'm feeling so ....dissatisfied...with everything right now. Never been there, don't know what it looks like, going a little crazy...LOL.

Packing is going to be really crappy. I have NO idea how we're going to pull it off!!! I'm bringing my dress on as a carry on as well, apparently it will be fine as long as it's less than 22 pounds and on a wooden hanger. I'm flying Mexicana. I talked with one of their agents online, and she seemed to think everything would be just fine. We might have to check a fifth bag though - that will be expensive!!!

THIS place is FABULOUS!! OMG!! from the moment we turned into the resort yesterday, we were amazed. you turn into a long, long drive into paradise!! We had never been here either. Make sure you know what section to go to when you arrive. We had a super long day yesterday just getting through customs and even checking in but it is absolutely beautiful!!

Our room overlooks the pools of the Nizuk section and the ocean!! When we woke this morning, I opened the curtains...... from our bed, it looks like we are on the beach!!! You are going to be amazed at this place!!

Also, our chargers for cell phone and laptop work fine. Not sure about other things. They told us the currents are not the same as U.S. but our charges are 110 - 220.

We have Sprint cell service. We get reception here but our texting is not working.

BTW, I did carry my dress with me. We flew Continental. We got some attitude the first leg of the trip but they gladly hung it from Houston to Cancun.

Don't worry and fret!! This place is amazing! It took us literally all day to fly, get through customs, get checked in, get our palace passport, and check in at the honeymoon desk but once done, it was very relaxing.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
