Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Holy poop! I can't believe you're leaving in 7 days!!! You must be so freaking excited!! I'm leaving in like 17 and I'm so freaking excited!!! I will be completely crazy by the time I get down to 7 days I think!

I will continue on with the tables. I just don't like being argumentative. I just don't understand why she's telling me I can't when I KNOW other brides have. Oh well. It won't be the end of the world if I have circular tables I guess.

So, I've continued to have nightmares about the wedding. I had a horrible one last night that I missed the wedding entirely, and then I had no make up or dress and my hair was a mess. LOL. It was crazy! I've also have had nightmares about driving...LOL. I'm learning how to drive, starting yesterday. Yes, I am 27, and I have never learned to drive. I drove on the road for the first time yesterday though! It was a big accomplishment! Yay for me and all the 16 year olds of the world! LOL!

Has anyone ever had flowers picked up flowers from somewhere outside of the resort? Just curious because the prices the Moon Palace charges are a little steep.

I can handle the 150+ for my bouquet, but 100.00 for each bridesmaid (x4) and 45 per boutonniere? We would like to have 11 butonnieres total (one for the groom, one for each groomsmen (x6) and one for his father, his stepdad, my stepdad & one for my godfather who is walking me down the aisle), plus corsages for each of our moms.

I priced out flowers using the Cancun flower shop and the total for everything came to 450.00 (Moon Palace would be over 1100.00).

I know the moon palace has a very strict vendor policy....anyone have any advice?

I am also considering having silk flower bouquets made up here for the bridesmaids to save some money but fresh flowers would definitely be my first choice...

I am also concerned about witnesses!!! Does anyone know if they have to be in Cancun 3 days early as well? My TA said they didn't but then I was told they did!!!! If so, I have a problem because all of my guests arrive the day before the wedding.

I would double check with your coordinator but as far as I know yes they do need to be in Cancun 3days before - however the resort can provide witnesses if you need them ( I don't think they charge a fee for this but again I would double check)

Hope that helps!
You must be getting excited - its getting so close!

I just booked my spa services for the friday before my wedding and my mani/pedi/hair and makeup for my wedding day, and my sisters hair. The guests will get $100/spa per room and $100/golf per room. The $ will show up on their account. I got this email back from the spa manager, so you guys or your guests can book ahead of time, I suggest it because I guess the appts fill up fast. The massage is like $119, so $19 for a massage isn't bad!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
