What area of the forum do you find these lists. I guess I haven't been to every area yet!

UGH! I hope I don't have to wait until 30 days. I'll have to check my contract. That would suck. I was so excited.

Although, I remember while back they put me in touch with a WC about food prices - but she never responded to any of my 4 emails. I hope she isn't going to be considered my WC...that was literally back in December...

Tina, under general wedding information there is a section with to dos in it. It's the first link, but I can't remember...the traditions and to dos maybe?

Anyways, I just clicked through there til I found a few and I'm working on making my own based off of those!!

Hey everyone,

Does anyone have any opinions about the different Gazebos? I just found out that we are scheduled to be a Bugambilia gazebo and the terrace for the cocktail hour. However, we are scheduled to stay at the newer section on the other side of the resort. I am thinking about seeing if we could be switched to the Tucan gazebo since it is much closer to the Grand Moon section. I would like the cocktail hour to be right near the gazebo though... Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

Hey Erika! I've heard both the gazebos are pretty, but the Tucan has a longer walkway. I know I'm supposed to be in the Tucan gazebo. As for the distance, I know they offer the golf cart transportation, so if you stayed at the Bugambila gazebo, it should be okay!

Okay, so maybe this is a stupid question I should know the answer to, but apparently, I don't!! LOL.

So, say after our ceremony we have dinner in one of the restaurants and then decide to have some dancing/reception time. I know we have to pay for the sound system, but would we have to pay to use the space? How much would it cost to have a bar set up? Would we have to pay for like a cocktail reception even if we didn't want food?

Does anyone know?

I'm definately partial to the Chapel Gazebo. It doesn't have the arches that the other two do. There is glass in the windows to block out the wind. The entrance (in my opinion) is far superior because there is a wrap around pond/creek water feature with a little bridge that you cross to get the gazebo. The altar is a light color that works better with the rest of the color scheme. And there are pretty pews instead of the white chairs.
We had a small wedding party and the minimal amount of chairs would have been depressing.

Hi Erika,
We're getting married in Bugambilia and we're having our reception at the terrace. I'll probably check out the other areas while I'm there just to see the differences. I'll let you know when we get back. :)

Would anyone like some specific pictures of any of the areas? We leave a week from tomorrow and I can try to grab a few snapshots of places while we are wandering around. If so post it here and I'll try to get them all....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
