I hope so!!!
I think we will make 60 nights. I have had several surprises just this last week, though, that caught me completely off guard. People I was definitely counting on having to back out. 2 families (3 rooms) that I was 100% counting on. I just hope we maintain the 60 nights for some free items. 17 of those nights are us (10 nights) and my boys (7 nights). I was really hoping for the 75 room nights to off-set that some and I really wanted the unlimited events. I was going to do something every day from Thursday through Sunday, with two things on the wedding day, if I had that. We will just have to do what we can now. I am just NOT fretting about it.

Ladies,

Moon Palace quotes private reception costs as $400 for 10 people. I find it confusing that they quote the reception based on 10 people versus a $40 per person price. Therefore, if you have 25 guests, would the total cost be $1000 ($40x25ppl) or do they round the number up to $1200 ($40x30ppl)?

Hope this makes sense.

Hey all-

Its getting really close to time to leave! Only a little over a month! Really excited although getting a little worried. I read peoples comments on tripadvisor.com before booking and the hotel was gettting really good reviews and ranked really well. As time goes on its dropping in ranks and less positive reviews. Is this making anyone else nervous?

I know that they say the beach is not the pretty blue like other locations but is does anyone know if it is not swimable? I have read the seaweed is a real problem. I was just hoping someone could ease my mind.

Thanks!

Oh no! Try not to be so stressed out. My BMs and GMs are really uneven (3 to 6) and I think it's great! With only one gone try to make it easy, have your girls go up by themselves with the GMs already standing in front then for the recessional have one of the girls walk by themselves or depending on your number double some people up.

Deep breaths and no more crying!

Thank you! here's what I am thinking to even out the processional...

have the MOH (my sister) walk alone during the processional (don't they walk by themselves anywayshuh.gif and just have the Best Man join the GMs in walking in with the bridesmaids...

for pictures... I'll just wing that which should be easy right?

any ideas?

Joy, my BMs and GMs are uneven as well. I was going to start with the GMs all up front with FI, and then just have the BMs walk up. I think Matt might need some moral support up there! LOL!

Tina, that sucks about that family. I've been wondering if my mom is going to end up backing out, but that's probably not due to the economy...*sigh* she's so difficult. I think it's great though that you still have so many people coming and supporting you. Maybe if you get a few more people to come, paying the difference to get the free unlimited functions would be an option.

At this point, I'm just hoping I stay under 30 peeps so I can have lots of get togethers in the restaurants. Our contract says we get one dinner reservation in a restaurant for 30 people or less. I was planning on doing like 3 or 4 of these...does anyone know if the contract is worded like that because they charge you for large reservations after the first? Or is it just the first that is prescheduled?

Peace out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
