I was surprised to see a pool, I didn't realize that this restaurant had an indoor pool!?!?!
OMG...an indoor poolhuh.gif That is so cool!! We will need to have our welcome dinner there!!

I had dinner at the arrecifies restaurant twice during my stay (my husband loved the skewered meat) and there is no indoor pool. It's still a good, fun place to have a welcome dinner though.

There is still a lot of construction going on at Grand...more buildings, etc. so I'm going to guess that's why it has yet to be added to any map. It's beautiful at Grand...very quiet, very elegant with classical music playing in the background. There's not a whole lot going on there but relaxing. It's very close to the Tucan gazebo (within walking distance). We had an oceanfront room (as close as you can get) in Nizuc in the building beside the Tucan (I think it was the monkey building). It was absolutely beautiful....there aren't oceanfront rooms at Grand as far as I could tell. The buildings are a bit further from the ocean than the other parts.

So I think we are almost officially doing our wedding at Moon Palace. I do not have a confirmed wedding date, but once we do that, we are on board.

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences (or heard of) getting an item exchanged within a wedding package. I know that most of the resorts say the will not, but I was hoping I could somehow talk someone into it for their 2010 packages. They are offering fireworks, which I don't really care about, and my FI would really like a mariachi for our wedding ceremony.

I read your post and saw your pictures, and I have seen those pictures somewhere before... on my photographers blog! Our photographer is Jason with Table4Photography! We had our engagement shoot the other day, and he was fabulous! Maybe he can take some extra pictures at our Moon Palace wedding 3.30.09 to share with you!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
