I want to get going with all the other details but I don't dare before I know for sure that everything is approved.

Thanks!

I guess they must be behind because I signed and faxed my contract last week too and I haven't heard anything yet...

I've not even got a contract through! I faxed my request for my date about 2 weeks ago! I ended up phoning the miami office and got a confirmation number that I have my date and time, but I haven't got a contract through apparently because they can't get a hold of the judge to confirm they can do my wedding! boooo

I just found out that my gazebo is the Bugambilia gazebo. I'm pretty happy, I wanted either that one or the Tucan gazebo. My only concern is that if we are staying in the Nizuc side is it a far walk to Bugambilia? I will be in my lovely carriage but will that be a haul for everyone else? Anyone have any idea?

Hi everyone!

I am new to the forum but have read a lot of the posts and really appreciate it! I figured with doing a destination wedding there wouldn't be a lot of choices and decisions to make but there is still so much to do! I have just recently booked my date for April 30, 2009 and was wanting to do the wedding on the beach but I have not read any posts with anyone doing this. I thought that it was an option but if anyone knows differently please let me know.

Thanks!

I've been bugging him to get the details for the justice of the peace and get a list of everything that we need (we are getting married in Texas and then having the Catholic ceremony at MP). Well, he did all this and asked me yesterday over IM, "Do you want to get married on March 20th?" Then he went on to say, "We've got an appointment with Lance (jeweler) on Monday for our rings."

For some reason that scared me and now I'm totally nervous. I didn't sleep at all last night. Reality is hitting - I'm going to be legally married in less than a month! Jeepers.

I can't believe it is already March. I feel like I've been twiddling my thumbs for months and now everything all the deadines are quickly approaching.

So much to do, so little time. That's why I'm posting this from work:)
:) Our legal day is on the 19th :)
And the reality is starting to hit me too... like a brick wall of #@ %#@*!

Hey Rosie!

Thanks for the info! On the beach slide it says $850. Do you know if this is this the extra cost to have the ceremony on the beach?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
