Do you happen to know where the carriage stops in a beach wedding ( I am assuming you can use the carriage for the beach wedding as well right?)

Thanks for your help!!!

PS I also loved the calla centerpiece you used in your ceremony
Rosie,

If you remember in a couple of ours pics, my hubby and I are sitting/leaning against the stairs ledgehuh.gif Well at the top of those steps is where the carriage would stop. The runner starts right as you hit the sand at the bottom of those stairs. So whoever is giving you away would help you off the carriage and walk down the stairs with you.

I chose the Calla's to go with the bouquet. As you probably already know, the choices for flowers included in the packages aren't very many. I didn't want to typical carnations or roses so I mixed it up a little bit. They do however, allow you to choose the style of bouquet that you want and choose whatever type of flower you want to use. (well that's of course from the types of flowers offered for the included bouquets) But if you look through those choices you'll see that there are a few choices. So I picked my style of bouquet and then went with the callalillies and white roses. I really liked the way mine and my MOH's bouquets turned out. They also have you chose the color ribbon to be tied around the flowers. I was even more surprised when I simply said "navy blue" and they matched my MOH's dress perfectly!

I loved your pictures, did you take any pictures of your reception? I would love to see those if you have any.

Again, very happy for you!

Rosie,

Here are some of the pictures taken at dinner. As you will see, we ended up on the main karaoke stage. So I guess you can say we shared our first dance with about 100 guests of the resort. Then we were invited to dance along with the entertainment staff. It was a blast! Sorry if some of the pics are blurry...the hubby was taking pictures and we had already enjoyed several bottles of champagne and who knows how many Don Julio shots? smile36.gif

Hi Ladies!

We booked a civil wedding ceremony with a group package, so that when we had 10 rooms booked we would get a free cocktail reception, etc. Now we are thinking about making our ceremony symbolic, and getting married here first (but not telling anybody). Does anyone know if you get the same group deals with a symbolic ceremony as with a civil? I don't see why it would matter, but you never know, and my wedding coordinator hasn't gotten back to me yet...

Nibs -

Do you remember approximately how much Cecilia Dumas runs for a TTD? Her work really is beautiful and there were a number of pics of hers I had to save to show as samples to the resort photog.

Although I have a fall back that I can do a solo session at lake tahoe, I would so much rather do it on the beach with the waves and non-alpine tempertured water.

I sent her an email to see if she would even be available in the couple of days following our ceremony. Cross your fingers for me!

Karla,

Thank you for the information about the carriage. I can't really even imagine what kind of entrance that would be... i.e. whether it would be less dramatic because people can't really see you up there from the beach, or if it would be more dramatic because you would be high up there....

Also, your reception turned out great as the restaurant didn't seem crowded at all and the ceiling of that restaurant is stunning.

I have about 3 months to go and I'm really excited.

Marie, I didn't get to find out how much Cecilia is - she is on vacation while I'm in Mexico so our conversation kinda stopped there! I started pursuing her though because I saw a post somewhere on here about her doing it for about 500 though. I'm trying to see about Claudia Rodriguez now. This is like the fourth photographer I've wanted that didn't work out for one reason or another - so frustrating.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
