Your wedding is before mine, so I hope that you can give me your opinion once you are back about how sturdy it was... etc...

I have not seen pictures of a beach wedding at the moon palace, so if you come across any, please forward them to me. I would also love pics of your beach wedding... HOW EXCITING!
I will definitely let you know how it goes. I will also continue to look for pictures of a beach wedding. I did find one picture on one of these forums. I don't know who's wedding it was or if the bride was in heels or not because you could not see them. I will try to attach it.

Hi Laura,

Congrats on getting everything booked!! I still haven't been assigned a wedding coordinator (I keep bugging Marlyn), but I did call the resort directly yesterday and ask for someone to be assigned, and arranged with the person I was talking to to book the Tucan gazebo. I think I'm supposed to hear from a WC today at some point, which will help!

What is the lounge set-up? Do you have any pictures of it? Have you heard how much it costs? I'm still trying to decide where we should have our reception afterwards.

For anyone who is booking the horse and carriage for your way to the wedding, do you know if the bridesmaids just meet you at the end of the aisle then? I had always thought that I'd be going to the gazebo with my girls, but obviously we can't all fit in that carriage! Would they have a golf cart for transportation or anything, or would they just walk? I'd like there to be something kind of special for them as well.

Laura, just out of curiousity, which bouquet and cake did you pick? I wonder if we'll see each other the day of our weddings! I'll be keeping an eye out for other brides for sure!

That is the only picture I have seen of the beach wedding and in fact is the sample used by Moon Palace for a beach wedding, that decoration costs $850.00...I don't know if it even is a real wedding or set up for purposes of a sample.......

I would like to call mexico and find out about whether the high heels would work on that runner he he

For those of you who have already been through this nerve wrecking experience or for anyone who might know, I have a couple of questions.

First, I have always wanted a beach wedding so when my WC sent me pics of the gazebos I told her that I would rather have our ceremony on the beach. She had no problem with that and told me, "the beach it will be". I've been reading some reviews and noticed that a few people had the same idea that I did and then when they arrived at their resort they changed to a gazebo location. Whyhuh.gif Can anyone tell me if the beach weddings aren't as private, appealing, too pricey, what is ithuh.gif

Second, I have this awful tattoo on my finger that I've been having removed for almost 1 year now. It's much lighter than it used to be but unfortunately it's still there =( Does anyone know if the onsite photographers are able to airbrush any pictures that my finger may be in? I've tried lot's of things to cover it up but nothing works like I would like it to.
I have read reviews from past brides that they rake the beach often but that there always seemed to an abundance of seaweed.

I'd always wanted a beach wedding too but then I attended one a couple years ago in the Bahamas and while the view and whole idea of it was great, the wind was a force to be reckoned with. Perhaps it was an overly windy day but I decided that day that I was a not a fan of the wind and vowed to go with a gazebo if one was available.

Hi Camie,

Thanks for the info ~ there are so many pages for the MP forum that it's hard to find things on here! I'm going to see if I can find any pics on Tripadvisor of the restaurants you mentioned.

I grew up in St. Paul, lived in Mpls during college and now we're in Bloomington (the same suburb that the Mall of America is in). That's interesting that you moved to TX! We might be moving there too, eventually. Nick's parents moved to Austin 2 years ago and we love visiting them.

You'll be happy to be down there today.....we had freezing rain all day yesterday and woke up to two inches of snow this morning!

Hey all! I got assigned my onsite WC today! I was so shocked! My wedding isn't until July! I booked my wedding last week and sent in the charge authorization form, and today I emailed Katherine Rivera (my Miami WC) to ask her to send me some lists of prices for reception stuff. She just emailed me back with my onsite WC, who will be Kalena.

I was soooo surprised! I was expecting it to be a huge hassle based on what others have gone through! Now I'm so excited to really get some planning done!! thewave.gif

Does anyone by chance have Mario's (head of photography) email address? Claudia, bless her heart, still hasn't responded to my inquiries and we're working on three weeks. Last I heard was that she would have Mario contact me to confirm photography information.... Please help! Has anyone heard anything from Claudia lately?

Also, is anyone going the route of rent a tux through the resort?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
