There are some great pics on trip advisor where you can see what brides have done in the past.

As for the pews - I am hoping flowers on the ends or fabric. We are using our own aisle runner and possibly purchasing the flowers to be strewn on the ground. As well I have mini star fish that I will also use to border the aisle.

What are you thinking? Specifically the pews?

Are you have a Catholic Wedding? Are you booked in the Chapel?
We aren't doing a Catholic wedding, but we do have the chapel reserved. On the one hand, I would like to keep it simple and let the natural beauty be decoration enough, but on the other hand, I would like the pretty little details. I ordered plenty of flower petals which will be strewn along the aisle, and I was thinking of picking up a simple white aisle runner, but I don't know what to do about the pews. Since they don't offer a cover slip for them, that option is out, but then I'm not really feeling the tulle lining the ends either and I would like to avoid spending anymore than I have to on the flowers offered through the resort. As it is, we're doing a pillar candle display on either end of the altar and I may drape some pretty fabric along the altar.
Any suggestions for the pew ends that wouldn't be overkill?

when I entered that into a yahoo search trip advisor had like a thousand pic's

from people who had stayed at both the Moon & Grand. The pic's where great.

some are of vactions and some are weddings but the best part was I got to see all the rooms from different angels I also saw the beautiful presidental sweets and how the paint ball out fits look w/ the guns. Check it out. When I saw all the great bars , lobster dinner boat ride and crazy stuff like that it made me crazy excited. April can't come fast enough. I also did my room block for the 25 rooms and it's going great. Of course my mother in law is booked already and my daddy 2. most of my wedding party are bookng it this week.I'm also doing a wedding sildeshow but I'm not sure of the cost does anyone know? hey everyone! just a quick update. As of October 15th, i am officially booked to marry at Moon Palace!

My fiance and I signed the contract and sent it right away. Here are my wedding details:

- Catholic Ceremony at the Chapel at 2pm

- Cocktail hour from 4-5, location TBD

- Dinner reception at 6pm at one of the smaller ballrooms.

- we are hiring the resort photog, but considering Tamms Photography

- upgrading our wedding cake at the resort (i actually like the cakes they offer)

- flowers and decorations from the resort

i ammm sooo excited!!!!! i am a little worried because we don't have 1 year to plan our wedding as most brides do. however, i am soo happy that things are looking up. we are a bit crunched on time, but i didnt want to wait a few more months to marry my fiance!

our save the dates are being sent to our guests. most of our family and friends already know when the wedding is. we are sending STDs just for formality =)

thank you everyone. you guys have helped me so much! i can't wait to post more updates as my wedding comes near.

Congratulations on booking our date!! you must be soo excited now you have it all signed and confirmed!

I'm sure you'll be fine with the length of time you have for planning - with this website as help there will be few problems (fingers crossed!).

I'm in the process of diying our STD's, going to a crafts fayre next weekend so will get all the card so I can start printing some off...we aren't going to send them out till our date is confirmed, and will use them more a method of finding out who is actually planning on coming, and giving them info of when to book up!

PS - i'm not going to forget your date in a hurry - its h2b's bday!hee hee

Hi Ladies,

I'm so happy to have found this forum specifically for the Moon Palace! I have my wedding date booked there on January 29th, 2008, and the information in here is sooo helpful. I was looking at the pictures of the flowers that were posted in a PDF earlier. Does anyone know how much the bridesmaid bouquets usually cost? It seems like $100+ would be so much to spend for four bridesmaids...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
