Her email turnaround time is pretty quick - less than 24 hours typically.
I worked with Yudelka directly for anything pertaining to the room block and she has been FANTASTIC to work with. VERY responsive (typically replies with 24 hours). I have had an extremely positive experience with every in the Miami office.

My experience with my WC (Nancy) has been the complete opposite! I am down to 3 weeks and I haven't been able to get many of my questions answered. She keeps telling me she is working on Oct. weddings, but my wedding is Nov. 1st. Seems to me she should be working on mine now too! I am trying to not stress out because I know that once I am there, everything is going to turn out fine... BUT it would be nice to get some of the planning out of the way before I get there.

Even if you get a WC assigned to you, don't expect them to get back to you quickly. I was barely able to get anything from her when I was more than 3 months out. As soon as I hit my 3 month mark, she did start to communicate more with me. When I've needed to get her to respond ASAP, I have had to CC her boss. The only thing that prevents me from going completely crazy is that I did meet Nancy when I did my site visit and she seemed very professional and 100% on top off the weddings happening at the resort that weekend.

I've just spent the past 5+ hours reading all 102 pages of this thread and I'm thankful for all the information provided between members, yet frustrated to find that there are some who have a wedding date following ours yet have been assigned an onsite WC. I've been asking for an onsite WC for awhile now and Yudelka (Miami) will not budge. I'm taking the advice of everyone here and am going to start sending her all my questions in bunches to annoy her and hopefully she will move me to the onsite WC.

Anyway, I must now carefully craft my first 'persist yet not harsh' email to Yudelka which will hopefully lead to my onsite WC.

Thanks to all for all the helpful information!
Camie
Please just bear in mind that the persistent inquiries to the Miami girls were not intended to be annoying, only to help find answers to those pesky questions that loom on your mind and only manage to stress a bride out. The Miami girls unfortunately have their hands tied, but they do serve as a buffer because you can only imagine how busy they are at the resort.
I have not yet received a response to the original list of questions that I sent to the coordinator in Cancun, however the most pressing/time sensitive question for me has been resolved.

I did receive a response from Miss Marlyn today that stated that the minister approved my complete overhaul to the symbolic ceremony script. :)

Hi there

the extra charge applies to anything over the 2 hours for the reception for open bar.

e.g we orgionally booked the 2 hours $400 per table of 10 from 6.30 until 8.30 but then added an extra 2 hours on top to extend it to 10.30 which is $60 per table per hour. I am thinking of extending it again by another 2 hours (12.30am)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
