Hi Jennifer

My name is Laura and we are getting at MP on January 29th, 2009

I would love to see your pics of the beach set-up. This is something we are considering and the photos would help greatly with this decision.

Thank you so much - looking forward to the photos

Laura

For those of you who already married at MP, who took care of the music during the ceremony if you chose to use a CD? Obviously, my FI and I will be busy yet I still want my music playing at the appropriate times.

TIA!!!

Also, I'm thinking about a beach wedding (my FI isn't 100% sold on the gazebo) and was wondering about the cost of a simple setup...anyone check on it?
Hello - my name is Laura and I am a MP Bride - we are getting married January 29th, 2009 - so it looks like we will be there at the same time.

We arrive on the 24th and depart on Feb 7th.

We are hoping to plan a Chapel Gazebo ceremony and then either the chapel garden or terrace reception. We are concerned with the 10pm deadline though and we are not sure where to have our reception as we want to be outside and take advantage of our surroundings.

I am sure we can help each other along the way.

Congrats!
Laura

Jennifer,

We're going to go with the resort photographer. We had purchased the Deluxe wedding package, but I think you have the option to upgrade the photo package with the WC when you get there. We'll likely end up doing that.

Hey Katt, I am getting married in April 11, 2009 and I am doing the 30 room deal, but nobody has booked their rooms yet! I don't know about how much the slideshow cost, but it is a great idea, I have seen it in other weddings and it looks sooo cute!

Katt,

Nice to chat with you too.

The terrace is limited to 10pm. But you can go to the club after... OR you can have it in the ballroom if you really want to have your reception go late. Yeah I really liked Andrea's wedding (12.29.07), that is what made me lean towards a ceremony and reception outside instead of a gazebo.

If you book 30 rooms, you get unlimited private functions, the key word is "BOOK" which none of my guests have... so I may be lucky if I get ten rooms booked at this point.

As far as the centerpieces, I don't know all the costs, but I am getting fresh flower center pieces from the hotel.

well my weddings at 5pm so I'm banking on picking a terrace spot that"s not going to be used after m,or trying to anyway. I thinik the last wedding is 6pm. But the club thing sounds fab, I think I'm gonna stick with it. Don't worry about your bookings You've still go time. I'm just sending out my save the dates this weekend. My weddihg colors are clover green, gold and ivory.

FI and I decided to use a gazebo. I'm very excited and think it will be romantic and intimate for us. I want our wedding to be special even if it's just the two of us. Right now I'm working on the music for the ceremony as I know it's also used for the video. With a 30 minute long video, I'm assuming if there's not enough music, they will replay the same music over. A four song limit puts the time at around half that. How strict are they with the four song limit? I'd like to add some songs to the CD if they will allow it...even if we aren't able to use the music in the ceremony, I'd like to have it on the video.

Any ideas on how long they allow for pictures using package A that comes with the superior package? Is it an hour? And would that be enough time for the ceremony, cake cutting (since it's just us, we're doing it with the ceremony), beach pictures?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
