Thanks!
Hey there.....
We found out that the Justice of the Peace for the resort can do all the legal stuff the morning of your wedding. In mexico, you are not officially married until you are declared married. In our case, we are having a very close friend and Catholic Priest do our ceremony. It is not a Catholic wedding. We are pretty excited about the resort letting this happen. I also believe I saw someone else on this thread state that they had the same situation happen with them. Ask your WC and you can probably set this up. Also, keep in mind that sometimes the WC's in Miami will give you different information than the final WC in Miami. They are all doing a great job but sometimes there are some inconsistencies in what they tell you.

Did you ask for the photographer to take pictures in your room before the wedding??

What was the suite like you stated in on the grand moon side? What side did all you guests stay on?

Did you request the grand moon side before you arrived? and did you book the suite before you arrived?
Thank you!
My wedding coordinator asked if we wanted the photographer to come to our room before hand. He was there about 20 minutes taking shots.
We booked through RCI, so we were automatically put on the Grand Moon side. All the rooms were great! But we ended up in a suite. They didn't have my sister-in-law's room ready and she had to wait like 2 hours, so she ended up getting a suite. She wasn't sure if it was because of the inconvenience or if that's all they had left. My sister-in-law was kind enough to give us the suite since we are the bride and groom. It was amazing! When I get those pics on the computer, I'll send them over so you can see.
All of my quests that booked through Maria Torres (group rate lady) were on the Nizuc side. It really isn't that far. We took golf carts to get there or if it was a comfortable night, we walked.

Happy Planning to you!!

Hi MP brides. I am new to the forum. I was planning my wedding locally but just left my job to go back to school full time. We decided to look into a destination wedding to save on costs while still having something nice but it seemed impossible because we are Catholic. Then I came across the Palace resorts website, started searching for reviews and so here I am. I read the entire thread already and I think we just might go for it. Have no idea on a date yet but it will be in 2010.

Hi everyone- I am new to this forum - I just joined a few days ago. I am getting married at Moon Palace 11/14/08. We have a group of 45 going with us! Not very long to go! I have been worried most of all about pictures. I found this forum by searching for Moon Palace info other than what is given on the website. I decided to join after seeing that there are so many brides with the same concerns I have! I wish I had found it sooner!!! Melissa- Your pictures are awesome ! Thank you so much for sharing them. Congratulations!

Did you pick which photographer you wanted or did the WC pick for you? Thanks for any information you have

Hey girls, sorry long time no write, we just got slammed at work and I got a new puppy at home and he is a handfull. Melissa, I loved your pictures, they are gorgeous, as are you. Awesome dress. I did not have the option of having the photographer taking pictures of me getting ready, that would have been cool. I'm still working on getting my photographer for my TTD, I miss wedding planning so this will be cool.

All you new girls, if you have any questions, feel free to ask, its probably better to PM me, that way I see the message in my email box.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
