But this price is just from Philadelphia...so I guess I would need to pick a few major departing cities that guests will fly out of to list a round-about price? Does anyone maybe have letter they sent to their guests that I can take a look at? That would be such a tremendous help!!! Are there group rates available for the guests and do they cut costs down a lot? Also, how do you say to the guests in the announcement letter that group rates are available if people book the same # of nights, without sounding rude? One more ?...acutally, I am sure this won't be the last (lol)...but, how does everyone feel about an announcement email? We were going to sign up for an account at ewedding.com, and they have an rsvp/invitation section...so, we were going to maybe send out the announcement there and have people rsvp by a certain date. Then once we have people's responses, we will send out an actual invitation to those who responded with a 'yes'...and that invitation could have the final details of pricing, etc. Does that sound ok? Thanks so much everyone for all your help in advance...I am sorry I am totally clueless!!!

Couple comments: I think you do need to take your guests' budget into consideration when planning the wedding, BUT for those who are really going to come, ask yourself, if it is $400 more or less; will that change their mind to come, it may or may not.

Also, i dont think you need to put prices on your save the dates. I included the resort, the date and 'evening" of the welcome reception and wedding ceremony and reception, then put our wedding web site on there and directed others to go there for more info about travel arrangements. On the web page (mine is decent, no music but everything else we need: Create Free Wedding Website - Personal Wedding Web Site - Free Wedding Planning Tools $30 for one year if get coupon on the Knot) . We have a statement saying check back at the end of August for more info on travel, etc. I dont think we will post a price because all that really depends on availability and flights, etc. But people will ask so as we are spreading the word via our mouths, I have given people a $400 range (like it'll be anywhere from $1600 to $2000) I would do an estimate from th ecity most are flying from, in addition i am a fan of giving them a higher number than it will likely be, then they are pleasantly surprised if it is lower, and not disappointed if it is higher. We cut our cake right at the restaurant, but if you are dancing, I think your cocktail hour would be good for that!
