Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Wow ya'll, my FI and I just got through like 60 pgs of posts (double duty - he's very hands-on and is not put off by all the back and forth and exxxxxxtra details), lmao! But it was all very informative. Thank you all for your madd detailed info.

Great pix and review Sharla! Your wedding was lovely, despite the dramz, and you looked GAWGEOUS! wink.gif I'm soooooo wanting that horse-drawn carriage now, lol.

We're really leaning towards MP now, but my one concern is getting married there in September, with hurricane season and whatnot. Does anyone have any opinions regarding this, or experience with traveling to Cancun in September? Once again, thanx to everyone for making this THE BEST FORUM EVA! Much love!

Oh, and I'm so excited for all of you who are getting married right around the corner! So exciting!! I'm wishing you all the best. Besos!

Just a quick update -- I got a call from Carolina who is in charge of the weddings department (someone posted her contact info above) and she apologized for the inconvienence and the poor service I'd been receiving. -- they are making things right for me. Yay!!

If you are having the same problems -- she is super nice, I'd recomend calling her.
I posted Carolina's info, She was the first person I was in contact with and I thought she was a higher up :) I'm glad she was able to help you. She is really nice. Just give her a day or two to respond, but she will.

Thanks!
I used wedding window, if you pay 15 dollars you can have your personal named website (if the name is available as a domain). The website is so easy to use, you can have your guests rsvp for the wedding through it and it sends you notifications as well as thanking the person who rsvp'd. You can also put music on it, your pictures, and they have TONS of options like polls, quizes, hotel information, albums, and many stock photos you can use. Also, you can sign up for their 10 day trial period without a credit card so you can experience it. The websites look very beautiful, classy and personalized. It does cost like 75-100 per year, but it is totally worth it. I know that there are MUCH cheaper sites out there, but not as good as this one for weddings.

Also note that there is a thread on this forum called wedding websites, so you can read about different websites.

Those pictures from the Moon Palace photographer are great!! YOU LOOK AMAZING!

Is anyone planning on using anyone else besides their photographers? If so, will they let you use the moon palace photographer for the "welcome dinner" instead? I'm paying for them to take pictures, I just am not going to be using them for the wedding!!

Talk about a mini-freak out! I'm filling out save the dates this weekend! GEEZ!!!

And some of my friends are saying that its "too expensive" to come to the wedding! I know it is expensive, but its hard to not take it a little personally. is anyone else dealing with this??

Also, anyone know of a good place to get silk flowers?? I'm wanting tropically **not sure that's a word** ones!!!

Hey girl

I'm planning on using an outside photographer, but am going to go with the free wedding package at mp, then pay for all the extras separately, like the horse and carriage.

Who are you planning on bringing in for your wedding photos? woot.gif

We're using Elizabeth Medina! very excited about that. I did the deluxe wedding package which includes a photographer. If nothing else, I'll just tell the moon palace we don't need the photographer and eat the costs. Elizabeth won't take pictures if another prof photographer is there so i can't have them both there....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
