Hello Ladies!!!

I got another email today insisting that I cannot reserve anything until 90 days before the wedding when I am given my onsite coordinator. Geez louse.

Is anyone getting married on the beach?? Do we just make this decision last minute when we get there??

Plus, I was thinking of asking all of my guests to wear a certain color. like "dress in colors of the ocean" or "dress in colors of the sunset" I've seen in a few of Elizabeth Medina's pictures and it looks cool. Anyone else thinking of doing this?? if so, what color??

When you get your WC in Mexico, you can choose where to have your wedding (If you want to call mexico earlier you can, or you can go through the FL lady's manager, they all have one) 3. You can get married in the beach instead of the gazebo, you just have to pay set-up fees.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for this info Rosie!

I found most of the answers to my questions, but there is one I didnâ€t see.

Is the beach private? What I mean is for MP guests only?

TIA!
Welcome! I'm glad we had answeres to most of your questions :)

I don't know if the beach is 100% private...but the resort is HUGE and I don't think there are any other ones around it...so it probably is, even if it's indirectly.

Google Earth MP...it's crazy!!!!

ah right, you had my hopes up there that I could start booking things now! ah well!!

i'd love to book our rooms directly with MP because of the added extra's you depending on the amount of rooms booked, but it would be too much hassle to book flights seperately from the uk.

good luck anyhooo!

I am getting married on the beach at MP in January. The only reason why i am having a destination wedding is to get married on the beach on the sand. What i did was when i signed my contract i put an asterick with BEACH CEREMONY in big letters and circled it to make sure they knew thats what i wanted. I didnt check off any gazebo or anything so yes they know what exactly i want. I do know also that all the pretty extras that you see in the pictures on the beach are extra $$$. They provide a table and i think thats pretty much it haha. I havent looked into what they offer decoration wise. I figure ill do that when we get assigned a WC or when we get there. Im sure they have something nice that ill like. Im slowly learning not to freak out and plan too much too ahead of time because im going to drive myself to drink....im in grad school, planning a wedding, planning my moms 60th b-day party, working, i just cant sweat the small stuff. Flowers will be beautiful, cake will get eaten regardless what it looks like, ill have about 20 family member photographers there, the decorations I need is the beach sand and the sun, my fiance and few family members will be there and im all set.
im suddenly feeling very zen....hahaha

Siobhan,
That's awesome!! Maybe you can stop and say HI after our ceremony. We're getting married on Monday, August 11th at 5pm in the Bugambilias Gazebo. We will be having cocktails/horderves on the Bugambilias Terrace from 6-7. I should be finished with pictures around 6:30 and heading over for cocktails around then! Maybe you can stop by the terrace around 6:30 and we can meet! That would be so cool!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
