Your picture is cute!

Ok, I learned the hard HARD way not to fill FI in on every detail! TRUST ME!!!! Use this site and only go to him with things you have to LOL

As for the catholic religious ceremony...they might be able to add a judge to make it lega. We're doign a legal ceremony there and having a non-denominational minister...so I don't know why they wouldn't be able to do a priest with a judge.

Ask the resort about it...

Thank you so much I appericate it. I am over here freaking out. He emailed the moon palace and they weren't much help so he got pissed and said he didn't wanna do it anymore. The catholic cermony means alot to him so I am not fighting him on it. I had my heart set on it there so hopefully it works out. We are supposed to be married May 23

Two different Erins...that's why I was getting confused LOL

ErinnJosh...I'm only organized because I've been plannign this since December and I found this site in March..it's been SOOO helpful!

Erin630...have you been working with a wedding sales coordinator or did he just randomly email the resort? if you've been working with them I'd email them and be very specific...try not to ask more than one or two questions in an email. I'd say ask them straight out if a Catholic wedding there is legally binding and if not, can you add a judge so that it is. Be persistant and if they say no, ask "why not"

Here's what I know...

We're getting married 1/16/09 a Friday, not my choice but apparently they were booked that Saturday. at 1 pm. Also not my choice and would love suggestions on what to do after the wedding!!!

We're using Elizabeth Medina for our pictures. She's staying as our guest and we have her confirmed.

Hahaha. that's ALL i know!! I did get the email address from my TA for the lady she's been talking to in Miami. So today I emailed her directly and let her know we would love to move the ceremony until later in the day, and would like to book our sites!

BTW, I never would have known I could do that stuff until I started reading on here!!!!!

This is great! I can't wait to learn so much more!!!!!!

Thank you,
Erin

Erinjosh I am getting married the friday after you at 3pm. Im having a cocktail hour right after and then we are just gonna pick a restaurant and go have dinner and have a good time there. I hear they section off the restaurant depending on which one you choose.

You know Im mad because I asked my girl in FL if i can request the site for my cocktail hour and she said I had to wait. Im thinking of calling Mexico myself and asking them. But i cant call from work. I wonder if my boss would realize the Mexico call on his phone bill. HAHA.

I want the terrace thats closest to the beach. I forgot which one it was called. But i am getting married on the beach as well.

Dez how are things with you an your FI. better I hope :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
