I think we were talking about this some time ago - that is why I ended up getting the free package and buying everything that I want - cake, flowers, decos, etc. It just made it easier, not better on price, but easier to get what I wanted without them telling me "this is what is included". I hope that made sense :o)
I am TOTALLY SCREWD!!!!!!!!!!! I want different flowers, different cakes... what can I do since i signed the contract for the deluxe package?

So here comes my first of probably 8 million questions:

For those of you who have visited MP or been married there already...do you know of any location near the beach, not in the sand but actually standing in the grass, with palm trees where you can have the ceremony? I know they have the gardens and terraces, but they are either a little ways away from the beach, or are positioned on the concrete. I am looking to have my aisle in the grass with palm trees around and near the ocean. I haven't had any luck finding that so far, so I am curious if anyone remembers seeing a location that might work for this.

(trying to post a picture of kind of what I am looking for...)

I am totally going for the free package now! I'm going to bring my own photographer with me (they are going to be a guest at the hotel, thats how i'm getting round that one!) and i want my cake from sweet dreams in Cabo, so would not be worth paying for any of their packages!

I will defo still get some add-ins though, really want the horse and carriage, and will go with their flowers too! :)

Jennifer I dont think you can have the ceremony anywhere like that. I think they have all wedding ceremonys at the designated locations that they offer. I hope for your sake im wrong but I do know for a fact that all weddings take place on the Nizuc (Spelling?) side of the resort.

And here is another question...

What do you all know about the Grand Moon side? I have heard its more secluded and kind of out of the way, but that is really what I was looking for in the first place, before we decided on MP. Has anyone seen it in person? I saw some posts about it, but I would love some opinions.

We haven't been yet, it was just getting built when we were there 2 years ago, and last year we went to Aventura, so I'm excited to see it all completed. I heard the Carribean restaurant at the GM is great. Here are some pics I found on TripAdvisor, hope this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
