Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Haha, FL tried to assign me mine because of the questions I was asking, but I'm so far out they wouldn't. So now FL acts as a middle man...I ask them, they ask Mexico, then get back to me...kind of annoying, but I've gotten some answeres

I LOVE the little table at your shower!!
My shower is this weekend in Buffalo and I'm trying to think of creative things to do. I think we are going to put out a little table with one of our centerpieces on it and some pictures of us too. GREAT IDEA!!
I will also have a separate cake table for my shower cake.
Is that a guestbook you have on that table?
Any other cool and different suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

Hey Melissa - Yes that is a guestbook for the shower. We gave each of the ladies a page in the book to write memories of us and advice then at the bottom their current address and my MOH wrote what they gave us as a gift on the back. It was very useful for Thank You notes because I had current addresses and what to thank them for all right there in one book! I loved it! We had a seperate cake table with a buffet of different foods for everyone across from that...I didn't want to chance anything happening to our cake! :)

I'm so excited!!!!
You girls are right! nagging them is the best way to go to get a WC early. I think my person in FL (Elizabeth) is probably tired of me already. I haven't sent my contract yet and I am already asking for the room link, I just don't want to send save the dates that say cancun and then have people booking stuff in cancun that is not the Moon Palace...I don't want to miss out in the room promotions that give you the cocktail hour etc for booking a certain number of rooms.

Also........I signed my contract and paid for things in September 2007 for a July 2008 wedding. Signing the contract does not improve the communication at all.

One recommendation....if you are traveling with a group get them to assign you a group coordinator. This has helped me a ton. I already have my dinners booked and tours as well. This helped me put my guest itinerary together. I know I probably have a smaller group than most (22), but the tours fill up quickly. Having been to Moon 6 times, I know the tours and I know how quickly they fill up. :o)

If anyone has questions about Moon Palace particularly...I think I can help. I have never had or witnessed a wedding ceremony there, but we are members and I love the resort.

RE Room booking link help

Hi everyone, my FL coordinator asked me how long people were going to stay, and I provided a five day window, but honestly, I don't know how long people are going to stay at the resort, or if they are staying there at all. So, my question is when they give you the link, can guests edit the info when clicking the link to the time frame they are going to stay there?

Thanks you girls are the best!

Nicole, One of my posts has an attachment...I'm pretty sure it takes 50 points to open an attachment, so you should be ok with that. It's got pics of all the reception areas (hint, when you open attachments, save them to your PC if it's something you're going to want to use again...it cost points each time you open them).

I'll look for the menue, PM me your email address and I'll fwd it to you :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
