Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hehe, I'd say keep the tiara (then again, I'm planning on having one LOL), but the gloves...hmmm...maybe blame the heat and humidity and tell her your hands are sticky and swollen (my hands swell when it's hot) and you'd be more comfortable without them (I know, not a great mental imagine but)...

Oh, or tell her you read on here about other brides who wore gloves and it was a nightmare, so you're rethinking it...if you want, we can start a thread on it so you can show her...and "should I or shouldn't I" thread...just let me know and I'll start it :) (of course, that's assuming the thread goes the way we want it to lol)

Great idea, no need for a thread, mom is Russian, her English is somewhat rusty, she'll believe me, especially since I talk about the forum all the time. It would be funny though if we posted the thread and everyone liked the idea and we started a trend of gloves in Mexico :). I'm going back and forth about the tiara, I would rather have flowers in my hair, but i might still do the tiara. Definitely NO on the gloves. Thanks for your support and sorry about the whinning.

Pookie,

Thank you for the compliment on my dress!

Your dress is gorgeous too!! I LOVE it!!

I think it's ok for you to have a princess type dress because you are after all, the bride!!!

Plus your FI and his BM and GR are wearing the linen suits, so it will all blend together well!!

I chose to go a little more casual because my FI is dressing down a bit.

I also am going to wear this dress again at our party back in Buffalo, so that's another reason why I chose to go wih a more flowy dress.

Your dress is absolutely beautiful and you look beautiful in it!!!

Amazing choice!!!

We are having a fairly large reception the week after our honeymoon, June 28th, back in Texas. It is the same theme as the Mexico wedding but more ‘midsummer nights dream.†We've done everything ourselves so I have no idea how I haven't lost my mind! I live in Philadelphia, my dad in Ohio, my Mom in Texas and the wedding in Mexico...all put together in 6 months! Go us! haha We'll see I guess...let me know if yall need anything!

Yes. We decided to use the resort photog because we are having a "professional" photog at our reception back in Texas. I'm not worried about it at all though...my mom is bringing an awesome camera and Betsy's pictures were great!! I'm just excited that we'll be there in 2 WEEKS!!!! I will most defintely post pictures because I know how much it helps in the planning process!

Good luck to everyone!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
