I wish I could say that I am in the higher range. I work as a billing manager at a medical office. I was been on a waiting list for the past year and a half for radiation therapy. Hopefully when all that is said and done I will be much more comfortbale.

I'm an executive administrative assistant and have been so for almost five years (((I get to flaunt the “executive” title simply because I work for the president of a three person operation lmao!))) Only recently became f/t this year as I was p/t while in college, but thats another story.

Bossman is a public insurance adjustor dealing with mostly property fires and I love what we do here and more importantly, what I do! The pay is in the $30-35K mark, but the perks of working in a home office rock! Plus, bossman is a doll (he even came to my DW) and my only other co-worker is fab! We get along like a family business grouphug.gif

I personally am a stay at home mom, but Everton does well enough to support our family nicely, although with 5 kids, we could always use more:) The price we pay to have all the niceties in life however is Everton works very long hours, and it leaves me feeling like a single mom. Oh well work now, play later!!!

I am a Real Estate Law Clerk. I am not making great money right now, but for the city I live in its really good money. I made 25K more a year when I lived in Toronto and have more vacation time and better benefits, but I moved to Barrie to help out my sister and took a serious pay cut, vacation time cut and benefits cut. Luckily my DH has great benefits so that is not a big deal to me. As of September though, I will be making significantly less money, 55% of what I make right now, but I am not complaining since I will get to be home with my baby for a year and not have to work at all (in real estate, I am sure the work is going to be harder) and still make 55% of what I am making right now. One more reason I love being Canadian :)

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (I don't recommend majoring in that if you ever want to make $) and I have 15 credits towards a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Unfortunately jobs in this field require hard work and not much pay at least not until you at least have a Master's Degree.

I thought this was the field I wanted to get in because I enjoyed working with children classified as developmentally disabled. However, this past school year has been an uphill battle. School districts just want you to shut up and deal with it and don't like being told that some kids just should not be in a classroom setting where they can continue to harrass and assault other students and staff on a daily basis. Some kids need more help than a public school can give. I expressed my opinion on this to the higher ups and was just relieved of my duties last week. Today i just received a letter of reprimand that is being put in my file because when I was told to leave I went to the classroom and took everything I paid for with my own money out. I thought you were supposed to take your belongings with you when you left a job?? I was told it was insensitive because the kids didn't even have pencils to write with. I think they should have thought of that before they paid me so little, had me buy supplies out of my own pocket, and then fired me!! Sorry for the rant and hijack, just got that letter in the mail!

woah crazy story! You're amazing for standing up for yourself, the kids, and other staff members! Things will get better soon!

I am a CADD designer and drafter for a civil engineering company. Basically, I design things like building layouts, housing subdivisions, septic systems, public utilities like water and sewer and such.

I will make a little over $50,000 this year. For where we live that is pretty decent money. I could never live where I grew up downstate on that salary.

Overall, I am not doing bad for not having a college degree of any kind. I probably should get one of those at some point though.

At my last salaried position (Sr. Art Director/Producer) combined with contract work, I made around 65-70k. My salary is fluctuating right now, since I'm in the process of opening a small business with a very good friend of mine and also doing something new. I can definitely feel the change in the economy, when I did contract work only a few years back my business partner and I did very well and couldn't believe how well we had it. We were very blessed, this time is a bit harder but change is good and I've learned new things about myself. A friend of mine said something a couple of months ago that I found very wise. "I don't believe we come into this world to do just one thing".

How do I feel about the economy right now? I will not let it affect me and see it as a challenge and an opportunity to prove myself. It will eventually rise again as it always does.

My title is "Executive Assistant to Division Chief" - I am an EA for the Fire Chief who oversees the Division of the fire department at denver International Airport. We have 4 firehouses, one training academy and over 100 firefighters. My duties vary from day to day but my job is interesting and I will probably never leave because I have it too good and could never work in an office with a bunch of women (Who needs a bunch of clawing co workers when I have my gal pals at BDW?) :) I make $48K a year.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
