Just booked ROR Wedding

Recommended Posts

We are so excited that we just booked our date at the ROR for April 9/09! We just had a guest try to book their holiday for 2 weeks and they told them that the 2 weeks is sold out! They are going to call Sunquest and put in a "request" for additional space. Has anyone else come across this or have any suggestions? Feeling a little stressed!!

If you're flying out of Alberta, which I assume you are because of your location, you actually fly on an Air Transat plane. Sunquest reserves a select number of seats on the plane for their customers and the rest are reserved for Air Transat customers. There is probably still lots of room on the plane but Sunquest's seats might all be taken. I wouldnt panic, they can just purchase some more from Air Transat. We decided we wanted to stay for a second week for a honeymoon about 4 months before our wedding and they told us the second week was sold out as well, but then our travel agent got Sunquest to negotiate some more seats from Air Transat and we were OK. Since you are almost a year in advance I bet they do some adjusting for you! :)

Kitty Kat UK....thanks for the note. I am sure that we will definately see each other! Good luck with the planning and we'll see you there.

Just got off the phone with TA and found out that one of the reasons for the avails is that they just added another departure out of Edmonton. When we first booked, the only option was out of Calgary. Good news is TA has sent in a request for more seats from Sunquest/Air Transat.

The week of your wedding- April 8th, is also Easter week. My travel agent said that its much busier for that week, plus the rate it a lot higher than the previous week or the week after that. Im getting there the 18th- so if your still around then we might run into each other~!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
