For all of you that have already established a wedding website...(or in the process of..) How did you gather all of your information? I saw the post for websites and information....I have already chosen wedding windows, and gotten a start, but now I'm just stuck on wording/information and such for each tab...I guess it takes a lot of research?! I just sent out my save the dates with a welcome letter including the link to our website...Just starting to freak out about it not being finsished!

I did a lot of "borrowing" from other people's sites - there was a lot of copying/pasting! My FI is in charge of the site, so he's done most of it, but I just sent him that list of websites to look and and to get ideas from.

And since we're not providing other lodging options other than Dreams, and not hosting any outside events, we didn't have to include that much information.

Sorry, not sure that helps much!

I agree, cut and paste even if off the resorts website etc etc.... Make it as easy on yourself as possible. No need to be overly authentic and its not like anyone of your guests will no that you got your wording from someone elses website.

Thats my plan of action when the time comes anyways.

I plan to do a lot of cutting & pasting as well! I need to get my butt in gear with this over the weekend. I sent my STD's out, but I didn't put a website, because I didn't want to worry about it not being done right away. So, once I get to work on it, I'll send the link out to people that I have email addresses for and ask them to forward on to anyone else they can think of. And when I send out a newsletter I'll include it in there too.

Yeah, we didn't think that we were going to have to get all of this up and going so quickly, but there was some special discounted rates for our resort and our TA wanted to inform all of our guest about this.....Plus we wanted to let everyone have a few months to prepare $$$$ for our DW!

Thats why I did my std's early too, so that people had time to save money. I put as much info as possible in the std's to get my guests started at least so they knew who to contact, and I ended up contacting those that were planning to go to tell them about the discount.

can I ask who your travel agent is? the reason I ask is because when I talked to mine the other day she mentioned she had someone else that just booked their wedding at dreams, close to the same date as me.

Leigh feel free to look at my website-but also wedding window has suggestions for each page in the website builder function. Let me know if you need any help with specific pages. They also have sample websites so you can see what other people have done.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
