I would so appreciate any advice / tips you have in regards to having a wedding there. I am getting married there in November. Who was your planner?

Hi Tanya,

It was amazing! Our wedding planner was Daniella. She is great. Not much gets planned before you are down there so don't be worried! I would just make sure you obviously have the date and location booked, as well as the location for the dinner. We had our ceremony @ 6:00 on the beach. It was gorgeous! They gave us the option for 2 o'clock or 6, as there was another wedding booked for 4 @ the gazebo. Definitely glad we went with the 6 o'clock as it was so hot still @ 2, plus everyone is still @ the pool and the beach ceremony site is in front of one of the pools. We had our dinner @ the steak house which was really good. They set up the dinner for all of our 48 guests and us @ one big square table so we could all see each other and gave us our own private section with music and a microphone for some speeches. We debated doing the 'private' reception on the beach, but it was a lot of money and we had a lot of people. Plus, we had a big reception for 170 people once we got home.

We picked the music, cake, flowers etc once we got down there. And the blood work is no big deal! Just ask for Daniella once you get there if she is your planner and she will arrange a time to meet with you the day after you arrive and to get the blood work done. Her office is just to the left of the reception desk.

Any other questions just let me know!! I would be happy to help!
It is definitely a great experience!!

Sheri

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
