The Nugget Story ... with Pictures! Updated: 6/17/2008 ... She's officially all ours!

Recommended Posts

I'm crazy in love with this little girl! It's so hard for me to just leave her sit at the hospital. I want to explain to her I'm not abandoning her! The nurse suggested I skip the 2pm feeding (not breastfeed) so she could sleep, because she was so sleepy. It's so hard to let her be fed by a tube - it's like I am not doing my job! But I also know she needs her rest so she can get stronger. Oh the dilema!

She's up to 5lbs, 2oz. ... just over her birth weight. So she's heading in the right direction! She's taking most of her meals at night via the bottle, but sometimes needs it via the tube if she's just too tired.

When I went in this morning, she was in a different outfit - that was fun! One of the nurses had told us earlier that the night shift often plays "dress up" with the babies. At least they're getting attention. She's just a doll - and I think she's so cute when she's waking up, which is usually when I am snapping pictures.

BIG stretch!

she was trying to cover her face - she doesn't like the camera any more than I do!

almost awake! and is that the "Loser" sign she's giving me?

hopefully mid to late June - her 37 week mark would be June 23rd, and that's typically how long they hold preemies for. but things can always change, but realistically, probably not much earlier. paul is home this weekend getting the house ready!
----------------------

she got her first bath! it was just a little sponge bath since she still has her cord - but she seemed to like it! i was always a water baby, and i think Gwen might be too. when we got done toweling her off, her hair was pretty fuzzy - it was so cute!

and i finally had to put her in something pink ... it had to be done!

i know you guys are getting sick of these pics - you have to be! but i am going to keep posting anyway, just cuz i want to show her off!

Wow Ann, she's growing up so fast. She just looks older :) I love her pink rocker outfit- those are little guitars, right? So cute. That's great that you got to be there for her bath. How fun! I'm going to miss so much over the next two weeks sad.gif She'll be all grown up by the time I get back!

And you're silly, we're never sick of her pictures!

I know, she's over 5lbs now - such a big girl! lol My MIL wants a video of her crying so she can hear her ... but I can't get the girl to cry to save my life! I guess that's good - although I am not going to get too used to it, her lungs seem to be developing every day. Each little "squawk" i hear seems louder!

i'll tell her not to grow up too fast for you, Sarah ... or if she does - you know I will have pictures to show off! lol

i am so jealous of your trip ... i wish i were going!

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
