My dress and possible BM dresses... :)

Recommended Posts

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

No decisions yet. I haven't bought my dress yet and I'm waiting on comments from my sisters and my mother.

I think she is going to sew the dresses, so she'll have to find a similar pattern and then we'll have to choose the colours and the fabrics.

PLUS, my middle sister is in Australia and so is my mom (they both live there and are citizens) and my little sister is about to go to Europe. Ahhhh!!! It's hard coordinating details with family all over the world...fryingpan.gif

Nothing yet... I'm loving some of the J Crew options though. I'll post a few in a minute.

Someone asked where I found my dress: It's a cute little boutique downtown called the Cedar Closet. It's on Bank and Lisgar, I think. It's upstairs and looks rundown, but is so cute and cozy. And I swear, I wanted to try on almost every second dress I looked at! And I'm a bit picky! :) Definitely go try the place out.

Also, you don't need reservations to go - just show up!

I am in the minority, I love dresses 1 and 4, but I do like them all. Number 2 seems a little too casual to me, but it all depends on the feel you are going for. I love your dress, I can't wait to see a picture of you in it.

Thanks so much! I've heard of it, and although I haven't been shopping yet, I was planning on heading to a bigger store or out to MooseCreek mall. Now that I know that the dress is there, I may have to just swing by on my lunch break or something....Thanks again! cheer2.gif

That dress is on my short list to try on too! I look at other dresses and keep coming back to this one...I love that it's short in the front and longer in the back...I'm 5'4" so it may work for me too without hemming! Great choice! When you get pics of you in it, be sure to post!

I really love that dress! I've been checking it out myself on the knot... it's such a perfect blend of elegance and laid back beauty! I'm not sure about the brides maid dresses though. I think that the stripy details might compete a little with your dress's lacy texture. I think I would say that I like number 1 and 3 the most for the cuts though! Good luck!

I know the last thing you need is another dress suggestion!! You've got enough decisions to make I'm sure...but if you're interested...I saw this dress today, and thought of you and this post (I've lurked for a few weeks ok)!

You can choose a bunch of different color combinations...and...I just thought I'd suggest it because of the lacey overlay. It's obviously not like any of the other dresses you were thinking of...so I'm probably way out to lunch here...but ... who knows!!

Anyways...regardless, I hope you have fun choosing your dresses and I LOVE your choice. If only I had the bod for it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
