Reception Buffet Choices for Dreams Cancun

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone has any food suggestions for the buffet reception at Dreams Cancun? I have selected the 'Dreams of Love' package which includes the silver meal package. Has anyone chosen this package as well? Also, I am wondering if it is an option to have a second choice for the main course and what the additional costs would be. I did e-mail this question to Daniela, just waiting to hear back. If anyone has any information they could share, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hi! I am doing the buffet for the dreams of love package also and going with Fajitas, Rum Butter Jerk Chicken and Sea Bass. Sounds good to me! You get to choose three entrees if you go with the buffet. If you do plated, you get one choice and I have heard of a few girls who managed to get a second choice for plated at no cost.

I was already married there and had the silver menu with some choices from the gold that we liked better (mostly the Mexican food).

I listed it in one of the Dreams threads. I cannot remember right now, but will repost if I come across it.

It was all delicious!

Hey! Thanks for the reply, that is strange as I am having the buffet option as well and on my contract is only indicates 1 main course option, unless it was a typo? I will have to check with Daniela, that would be great if there were three options offered as there are some picky eaters in my family. How many guests are you expecting? We have 21 booked to date, we are expecting around 30-35.

Daniella told me that the buffet option was only available for parties of 40 or more. I quoted her about 35 people too and she said that my only option is the plated dinner, which only allows you to pick one choice of entree, soup, salad and dessert. I was able to get her to allow me to have one more choice of entree, as long as I provided her with a list of what everyone wanted to eat before the wedding.

We are having about 40-50 guests. I didn't realize the buffet option was just for 40 or more. I would push for two options, even if you have to get your guests dinner choices beforehand. There were a few things that Daniella told me 'no' to several times and we were able to compromise. But like Paula and other Dreams brides have said, the food is fantastic!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
