Are you wearing a Garter

Recommended Posts

I bought a Broncos one and played some stripping music and had Matt go get it, but I put it on just before that point because it was lacy (ie itchy) and I didn't want to worry about it falling down while I walked around.

We had fun with it but didn't toss the garter or the bouquet.

I wore one but we did NOT do a garter toss. It was really cute and had a little starfish on it - it ended up practically cutting my circulation off though so I took it off and wrapped it around my wrist like a little bracelet! Sounds weird but it worked.

I am not wearing a garter or throwing my bouquet either!! I am so happy to hear that some of you other ladies don't really care for this tradition! We aren't having quite a conventional wedding, and I don't know about you guys but most of my guests are not single! However, I agree it is a matter of personal choice!

I wore one but only because it came free with the dress. We didn't bother with the toss, nor did I do a bouquet toss. But I did like having the garter to wear, not sure why, just thought, when else am I going to wear one of these things?

I would like to do the garter and bouquet toss, but it will depend on how many single people are there.

Yari - I like the idea of tossing the bouquet to all the ladies, maybe we will do that as well and the garter can go to all the men.

We are making my garter to match my dress, and I am not worried about the cost of the bouquet, as I won't be able to bring it home anyways, and it will probably die before we leave.

The only thing that I am trying to figure out is whether to do them at the AHR as well. There will be a lot of people there that won't be at the DW, and we could just get a little thing of flowers and make another garter.

I'm not intending to do the garter or bouquet toss. I may wear the garter but its staying on my leg (until DH removes it of course!!smile72.gif) and as for the bouquet, we get married three days after we arrive so have another 11 days there, so I will just bring it back to my room and enjoy the flowers for the rest of the holiday (this was my 7 year olds idea as she will be sharing our room and she loves flowers).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
