Its Supposed to Rain

AHHHHHHHHH....I just checked the weather forecast for PV and it is supposed to rain on the day I get married. I chose that time so that it wouldn't rain, but now it just might. I keep telling myself that weathermen are always wrong and it won't rain, but the last two days they have increased the chance to over 60%, when a couple of days ago it was only 10%. Its supposed to rain the entire time we are there.

I know that Las Caletas has a backup plan if it rains, but I don't want that plan, I was to get married on the beach in the sun, not in the rain under a ramada.

Sorry guys, just venting, can't do it to FI b/c he just keeps telling me to think positive. I know I'm supposed to do that, but grr.....not the way its supposed to go.

I'm sorry. Weather.com made me almost have a breakdown a few days before the wedding. It said it was supposed to rain and we totally didn't have a backup plan at all.

Good news is, it rained for 10 minutes in the morning and was perfect for my wedding. I didn't share your location, but keep the faith!! Those weather reports aren't always right!

What website were you looking at? The exact same thing happened to me too on weather.com - it actually said it was going to rain 4 out of the 7 days we were there and guess what. It NEVER rained!! So don't worry about it too much b/c they can be wrong!

Yeah, I don't believe the weather.com or if it is any bit of a chance of rain that day they say rain. I remember before we went to Punta Cana I checked the weather and it showed rain for every day. It only rained one day of our week trip and it was for 10 min. Don't worry about it :)

i think there is something inherently wrong with weather.com's forecasting process. They are consistently wrong, so I would not take their forecast as the end-all be-all. Is the rain in PV an all day sort of rain or do they have passing storms that dissipate quickly? Maybe you could lob a call/email to someone at LC as they would have a better idea of the weather there. Good luck, thought I am sure that everything will work out perfect wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
